Spacious Home Away From Home

Open and comfy and lightning fast internet best describes this space. In the living room is a ENORMOUS wrap around couch that is hard to leave once you sit down. Great central location as the reviews suggest! Enjoy the outdoor space with a outdoor patio table, and hammock while sipping a cold beverage and stargazing each evening, or head indoors to kick back on the comfortable sectional. Watch your netflix on the new flatscreen SMART TV. WiFi is UPGRADED AND SUPER fast and accessible thru-out the entire home, making it effortless to plan tomorrow's activities. Past the fun fish tank is full kitchen, with stainless steel major appliances and all the essentials, including a coffeemaker, blender, toaster, and dishwasher. Whip up delicious, home-cooked meals to feast upon around the nice granite dining table. After a day on the beach, wash your swimsuits in the private washer and dryer, then rinse off with a hot shower in either of the two full bathrooms. This home comfortably sleeps nine guests among the four bedrooms. Three rooms feature queen-size beds, the fourth bedroom has a twin-over-full bunk bed. There is also a futon in another common area. Sunny San Diego is overflowing with activities to please every type of traveler! Spend a day at SeaWorld petting the stingrays, getting soaked by Shamu, and riding rollercoasters. Pack your bag with towels and sunscreen for boogie boarding, surfing, and building sandcastles at Mission Beach, 17 miles away. Shop at The Gaslamp Quarter and Seaport Village. Visit Old Town San Diego, and dig into some amazing street tacos. The whole group will love walking through Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo, touring museums, and taking in the beauty of the gardens. We can allow a dog. There is a 2nd DETACHED, AND SEPARATE unit in the back that is also a short term rental. So the backyard is a shared space.

This home suited all our needs. Location was key to all our plans, and convenient to the airport.. We had plenty of space to relax in our down time both inside and outside. I would recommend this property for future plans.

Decently Nice House - Interesting Neighbors.

There were a few things that did conflict with our stay. The shower in the bathroom which is entered through the kitchen had very poor water pressure. Rinsing product out of hair took far longer than expected for one of our family members. There are a few rooms are very poorly lit because there is one bulb or the bulb is flickering. The iron in the home does not work. But the most negatively impacting thing were the neighbors. For some reason they are always outside late at night being loud, drinking, and smoking in front making it uncomfortable. You can hear them from inside as they argue or loudly yell at midnight and the people going in and out of the home right next door (The parking lot is shared with them at close distance) seem to be different every day which is concerning. The reviews are all dated and it may be due to this that we had higher expectations for our stay. The back yard is very nice with the trees, however.

Mom and daughter trip

Stay at this jewel to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Lots of space and not too far from beaches and DTSD. The host, Jeff was very kind and we really enjoyed our 4 days at this La Mesa property.

The owner was very responsive and kind. He allowed us to check in early which was very much appreciated. The house had a decent amount of space. We enjoyed the back yard space and the fruit trees! Downers were....it was not clean. Needs a deep clean overall. It is on a very busy street so the bedrooms closer to the street will hear cars. There was a big argument and noise outside from people around 2am coming from the tenant who lives in the back unit. Also, no dish soap. No light in one of the bedrooms. One bathroom has a toilet placed so that you literally can't sit on the toilet without your knees hitting the vanity. Overall it just felt dirty. Also, the hot tub was dirty. Bummed because I was looking forward to that! The dishwasher leaked because the liner came off also. Yikes. Much improvement is needed on this place.

Nice property in good location

Location was great for excursions and shopping. The hot tub was lovely and the owners were fabulous. The property met all of our expectations. The owners allowed us to enter early which may have rushed the house cleaner.

The home was nice, with a nice backyard. The private front of the house parking was great. We were down here for an car event and all our vehicles were able to stay right in front of the house. There are something that the owner needs to have done and we sent the list to him privately. Once those items are corrected I believe the place would warrant a 4.5 star review

Great location and very comfy

We were visiting our new grandson and chose this house for the location. It was 20 minutes from anything we wanted to do. The house was spacious for the 6 of us. Plenty of towels, comfy beds and pillows. Many warm throws to snuggle under. The backyard was nice to use when we had a few really warm days. Grocery stores were a short drive. Jeff responded very quickly to the few questions we had. Nice perk are the 2 parking spots directly in front of the property. We enjoyed our 2 week stay.

Successful bachelorette weekend

The location was amazing! No more than 30 minutes to get to any of our locations. The grocery stores and food options were very close to the home. The house is spacious and the back yard was very cozy. It was great for our bachelorette weekend. Would definitely recommend and would probably stay here again if it’s available!!

Ver Nice for the Price

Overall the property is in great shape. Little things like the ice maker not working and not having any spices/condiments for cooking was an inconvenience but that is probably a COVID thing. All in all it was much cheaper than the downtown hotels and more convenient to get around the area from.

The house was very comfortable for our 6 adults. Host was very responsive to the couple minor issues that came up. Location was easily accessible with nearby grocery and restaurants. Used the hot tub pretty much every night but wish we had brought our beach towels.

Fabulous home just minutes outside of San Diego

This home was absolutely delightful. Plenty of rooms for the 5 of us, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and couches and a lovely backyard area. Note that there is another couple in the backyard rental, but we rarely saw them, and the hot tub had mold growing in it, so it wasn't usable, but the owners were quick to take a look and make plans to take care of it once we pointed it out to them. The location was great and we were just minutes away from all the activities we engaged in during the week.
