'We reisden 3 weken individueel door Japan in hotels en 3 Ryokans. Shinyu is ongetwijfeld onze beste ervaring: exekente ligging 1e lijn aan het meer. Mooie en zeer ruime kamer. Fantastisch diner en ontbijt! Aangename orivé onsen om als koppel te genieten ... en bovendien onze goedkoopste Ryokan! '

'This location was ideal for us because of its remote location. We had no difficulty with accessibility to it, because the hotel offered complimentary shuttle service to and from the local train station if you pre-arranged it in advance. Food was locally sourced and exceptional in quality. The outdoor baths were relaxing as they were set among the forest. Loved the friendliness of the staff. We had no problem communicating in Japanese but did find some of the Indian staff speaking English with us...

'Koshinoyado Takashimaya is a very traditional Ryokan, in the best sense! It is located in an ancient building that is very well maintained. The staff was very friendly and caring, service was impeccable. The food was delicious, diner and breakfast alike. We have stayed in ryokans before, in various regions in Japan. Our stay here was one of the most pleasant experiences overall. Very much recommended!'
