'My wife and I enjoyed our stay here! The room is basic but equipped with all the essentials (private entrance, private bathroom, kitchen sink, and fridge). It’s perfect for use as a home base while spending your days out and about. It is very close to a bus stop, about a 4 min walk, which gives easy connection to the rest of the city. The family is very quiet and we were not disturbed at all during our stay. '

'We loved the house. Plenty of room inside for 10 of us and a wonderful play space on the grounds for little kids. Also, there is a wonderful public playground 5-10 minutes by foot from the house. It’s an easy walk to local shopping and the town center in Musselburgh. By car, we were 25 minutes from Edinburgh city center and the Royal Mile. Two buses that are a 5-10 walk from the house take 20 minutes to get to Edinburgh city center.'

'The property was clean and pretty much as advertised. Note there are not four queen size beds but 2. The cutlery could do with being changed too as it is cheap and not fit for purpose.'

'The listing on Expedia turned out to be completely inaccurate providing the wrong address for the property. I only realized that something was wrong when the property manager revealed a different address from the one Expedia sent me. I had chosen the property mostly based on its supposed location and now the property manager listed an address 25km away from the listing! Needless to say that the real location was completely useless to me and I had to scramble a day before my arrival to find a...

'Had everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Fully kitted kitchen and washer dryer for self catering. Very clean and well kept property. 10 min walk to train to the city and 13 min train ride. Shops close by. Very happy with stay. A few more towels would have been nice but we made do, so no complaints.'

'This home is absolutely stunning. The location was really lovely… walking distance to a great shop, park, and Stockbridge… The house itself is perfectly appointed, spacious, comfortable and beautiful. Marie-Claire was a lovely host… we could not have asked for a more perfect place!'

'This was a very quiet property right in the city. There was plenty of room for our family of 6 with good kitchen and dining facilities. It was close to good many restaurants and public transportation. The self check-in went well and was greatly appreciated.'

We walked almost everywhere around Edinburgh from the Gillespie house, making it so convenient. It was about 30 minutes to the center of town, but many great shops and restaurants were even closer. 'This three bedroom property was perfect. It was in a great location with a view of Arthur’s seat out the window. Very walkable to restaurants and pubs. Met at the check in so Louie could explain everything. Very organized with a notebook that even included the manual to the washer/dryer. Very clean. Highly recommend!!'

"Very friendly, clean and welcoming hotel. Lots of parking space and a excellent restaurant with a cosy bar.. Although close to the airport a good connection could be made with the Edinburgh city-center via public transport or car. Room was spacious and well kept with a proper bed to sleep. This hotel is well worth the money with a shopping-mall close by, although transport is needed to reach as a main road has to be crossed. The breakfast was not enjoyed as we were on our way early, but as airline crew are also staying here it should have a certain standard."
