I was up there for a photo trip and found this location was centrally located for many great photo spots in the MN and WI area. The property is actually nicer than the photos show especially the exterior photos.
The Interior photos are accurate. Itâs a cozy place as described, the deck with a small table is a great addition and was perfect. Having a fire pit was perfect as well and was great for evening comfort and entertainment. Itâs a great place to âunplugâ. I missed the part in their description (all my bad) that the bathroom is in a separate building. I probably would not have chosen this cabin had I seen it. BUT⊠The reality is it was no big deal at all. Itâs big, clean, comfortable and well decorated. I would definately go back.
This was the eighth consecutive year Iâve rented this cabin. Great location for riding in Nemaji, delicious ribs from the general store, the perfect cabin for a weekend of fun!
This was a good stay, I would love to return as it was a great location for ATV trail access, and a cozy place to come back to for the night.
I would recommend a good deep cleaning in this cabin, as there is a cleaning fee within the rate but many dead bugs found in areas of the cabin, and what looked to be mold growing between a couple of the windows.
Also the sheets looked like they had not been changed from previous visitors but we brought blankets to throw on over so not a big deal.
However the bathroom/shower house was clean and very comfortable to use.
Overall we were satisfied with our stay, just wanted to throw in suggestions for future visits!
We arrived in the evening and had a couple questions about the place. Katie was quick to call and discuss things. The cabin itself is cozy and had plenty of fans and AC to keep us cool after long days of adventuring. Neighbors were quiet which was nice. We had everything we needed. Would recommend!
Its a nice little place to stay for a few nights and go to Duluth. Definitely cheaper and nicer than a hotel. The general store down the road really does have anything u need and good coffee.
Inside of the cabin was great. The living room area is larger than it looks in the pictures. The dogs loved having room to run around and we didnât run into any while there (preferable). Bathroom could use some work, but itâs functional and did everything we needed.
This little house in the woods had so much rustic charm and character. It had everything we needed and then some. Some of the pictures are out dated, as there is now a deck on the front of the property, and we never needed to use the outhouse. Owners were prompt with response, and were very accommodating to our needs. Would 200% stay here again!
The location is great for us visiting relatives at a nearby campground. I am kind of scared to use the bathroom in the dark by myself. That and the front blinds and screen door in disrepair are really the only downsides. They have literally everything you might need.
Exactly as advertised - Cozy, quiet, well located cabin in the beautiful north shore area of MN.
We explored the nearby Moose Lake state park and did a day trip to Duluth area.
Overall a great stay and I really am thankful for being able to have the opportunity!
Thank you.
We all enjoyed our stay, we will be back in the future for sure. It's right off the atv trails and we could sit by a fire at night which is much better than being stuck in a hotel room.
If you are looking for a quiet little place off the beaten path with access to beautiful state parks and thousands of acres of state forest land - this is the place for you. It was cold when we here (low 40s for highs). Saturday we hiked several miles and the cabin was a treat to come back to - warm, cozy and comfortable. The general store just a couple blocks away will have what you need. The local tavern was full when we tried to go there (meat raffle).
My husband and I stayed at the little cabin house earlier this summer and absolutely couldn't wait to return. This time we brought our dog Zeke who enjoyed it as much as we do. Can't wait to return!!!
We really enjoyed staying here. It was within 30-35 min drive from 3 state parks. It was perfect for us plus our dog. We had a nice little fire one night. It was nice and private.
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It is absolutely adorable and had everything we needed for the weekend. There were even some pleasant surprises that weren't in the listing such as Wi-Fi, and a small window AC. The only reason this isn't a full five stars would be things that may not bother some people. The bed is very very firm and we had a difficult time sleeping, consider bringing a sleeping bag or extra blankets for some padding. Also, don't forget the bottled water. While the water is perfectly safe to drink, it is full of iron and not a taste we enjoy. Do not let the staining from the iron dissuade you from enjoying the full property. The note in the bathroom explains the staining you will notice in the toilet and shower. Everything appeared clean and it was truly a beautiful property and we enjoyed our stay. The best part was being able to bring our dog to enjoy the weekend with us. So thankful we had that option.
Rustic cabin on dead end road near other houses, bar and general store. Reasonable rates, has basics you will need. Separate building with bathroom, ran small AC unit and fans to stay somewhat cool.Good place for couple...or a few kids.
