The room was dirty. (And I’m not a picky person when it comes to that - a few hairs in the bathroom I can deal with) there was what looked like soda splattered all over the bathroom wall. We told the front desk about it but nothing was ever done. We had a really hard time getting them to even service our room. The front desk said they should be cleaning our room daily and when we asked the housekeeper in the hall she said “our your room doesn’t come with daily service” — the front desk said all their rooms come with daily service and that she was just being lazy! We had to finally empty our own trash cans and go to the front desk daily to get new towels.
I have stayed at this hotel before which is why I chose it . Last time I would have given it 4 stars. This time it was evident they were run down, understaffed, under new management and just don’t care. The front door had a bullet hole in it and was shattered. Rather than get it fixed there was a sign up that said “broken use back door”. When walking around the back of the hotel to use the back door we had to walk by a huge pike of throw up that someone had puked on the sidewalk in the corner by the back door. (That was never cleaned up the whole time we were there).
Very disappointed in this hotel this time. Most important is in the past this hotel felt safe and secure. Now it is surrounded by homeless people and I would not stay here alone.
Next time we will go to the Marriott across the street for this price.
