The sunny Kona District is celebrated for its crystal-clear waters, vibrant marine life, and rich cultural heritage. Located just 8 miles south of Kona International Airport, this region is home to historic landmarks like Hulihe'e Palace, Moku'aikaua Church, and Ahu'ena Heiau.
Kona is a world-renowned destination for deep-sea fishing and plays host to major annual events such as the International Billfish Tournament in August and the Ironman World Championship in October. On the cooler upland slopes, you'll find the heart of Kona coffee country, where the region's famous coffee beans are grown.
Visitors can enjoy a wide range of daily ocean activities including snorkeling, scuba diving, paddling, and watching spinner dolphins or Hawaiian sea turtles glide along the shore. For a more relaxed experience, dine or sip a cocktail along Ali'i Drive as boats pass by in the distance.

Keauhou
Located at the southern end of Kailua-Kona, Keauhou Bay marks the birthplace of King Kamehameha III and offers a more tranquil slice of paradise. The bay is known for its calm, inviting waters—perfect for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and snorkeling. It's also a popular spot for manta ray sightings and guided ocean adventures.

Kanaloa at Kona is a peaceful oceanfront condo resort tucked away in the scenic Keauhou area, just south of Kailua-Kona on Hawai'i Island.
