  • Summary:

    Bring the family somewhere the ocean is part of the room. This colorful Kona Bali Kai condo is oceanfront, with a private balcony for watching the water and two bedrooms, two baths, and three beds for up to six guests. Ceiling fans in both bedrooms and the common room keep air moving, while the full kitchen and private washer and dryer make longer beach days easier to manage. The shared pool and hot tub offer a change of scenery when the kids still want water time. Use Ali'i Drive to explore beaches and surf spots, then come home to the balcony and the Pacific. It is an especially practical fit for a family that wants an ocean view without having to travel light.



    The Space:

    This 867-square-foot condo has two bedrooms, two baths, and three beds for six guests. The ocean-facing private balcony is the place to take in the water, while ceiling fans in both bedrooms and the common room help keep the home comfortable. A full kitchen handles meals, and the private washer and dryer is ready for beach towels. Shared pool and hot tub access is available at the complex.

    Guests at Kona Bali Kai enjoy access to the shared pool and hot tub, plus an elevator and garage parking. The grounds feature gardens and beach front views, with ocean access and outdoor seating available for guests to enjoy between excursions.



    The Neighborhood:

    Kona Bali Kai sits along Ali'i Drive on Kailua-Kona's sunny coast, close to Banyans Beach and the surf breaks that give this stretch its local energy. Magic Sands Beach Park is about a mile away, while Pāhoehoe Beach Park lies roughly three-quarters of a mile the other way. Da Poke Shack is nearby for a casual meal, and Ali'i Drive leads north to Kona town's shops, harbor, and waterfront walks. Kahalu'u Beach Park farther south is a favorite snorkeling stop.



    Getting Around:

    A rental car is the easiest way to explore the Kona Coast at your own pace. Ali'i Drive connects this area with Kailua-Kona, beach parks, dining, and shops. Check your reservation details for parking information and plan on a car for flexible access to beaches and day trips.

Big Island Stay

Excellent location to see the Big Island. Amazing views of the ocean from the large lanai where we were able to sit and have dinner and watch the sunset most nights. Highly recommend.

Relaxation

Super cute Hawaiian style condo, I let my Friends have the bigger room facing the Ocean, I took the smaller room. My room was very warm and stuffy but all in all the unit was cozy and the ocean front was amazing.

Great place to stay!

Excellent sunset views. Nice easy access to beach and tide pools. Pool & hot tub was nice & clean. Loved having Da Poke Shack located in parking lot. Beds were comfy & staff very friendly and attentive. Security was great. They moved a cigar smoker within minutes.

Perfect spot!

Such a great location. Close enough to town if you need to run in and grab something from the store or grab a bite to eat at a restaurant. But far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. The lagoon with the turtles right outback is just amazing! Will be back again! Thank you so much for a great day!

The condo needs some work. There are paint scrapes on a couple of walls, especially by the refrigerator, the vanity light in the common bathroom was very rusted and my brother said the mattress on the bed in the master needed replacing. Aside from being dated and needing some upkeep, it was clean and had everything we needed. The big plus is the view. Watching waves come in and surfers down the beach was good relaxing fun. Enough to make one forget about some of the imperfections inside.

Cozy and beautiful

I loved the ocean front view with the grills right there at the floor. Listening to the ocean was so beautiful. The only thing that kind of was junk was that there was no laundry detergent or trash bags. However the place was so clean and cozy. Mahalo for the stay!

Perfect spot - mostly

Condo was excellent had everything we needed. Kitchen very well stocked. The BBQ area is right below the Lanai. Mostly not a problem, however a few times non-residents would smoke or homeless people would stop there. Never seemed for very long.

Loved it

Overall I was exceptionally pleased with our stay here. Check in was easy, the furnishings were good and service was good/easy. The view is almost unbeatable and we used the facility grill (cleaned daily) twice during our stay. Overall loved it and recommend it to any staying. As noted in other locations the listing is for 8 people which would be very tight - we had 4 adults and 3 kids and space was not an issue but 8 adults would be unfeasible in my opinion. essentially there is 1 king, 1 queen and a pull out - so 5-6 adults at best. Since we didn't have issues we loved staying there.

This property is your access to absolute paradise!

The view could not have been better. We loved the surf, the tidepools, the palm trees, and the ability to rest and have meals on the lanai. We even watched whales for several minutes from the lanai. Surfers were present off to the left. Although we didn't use it, the free trolley stopped right across the street. Da Poke Shop was there on the property, and handy for lunch. The pool was beautiful. It is a wonderful property, and we would definitely rent here again.

Seaside Bliss: Stunning Sunsets and Perfect Family Getaway

Indulging in quality family time couldn't have been better than amidst the breathtaking ocean vistas and the gentle melody of waves embracing the shore as dusk settled in. The convenience of having the pool, jacuzzi, and BBQ grills within arm's reach was a delightful bonus. The condo's layout was just perfect for our family, offering a cozy yet spacious retreat. The inclusion of a generous washer and dryer made laundry a breeze, accommodating our needs effortlessly. Ocean is worth it

The unit was lovely and the view is incredible. The unit as with many at the Joba Bali Kai is dated. Units with carpet and drapes smell musty. The unit should be remodeled to remove items that hold the moisture and then smell over time.

Nice ocean view…aging property

The view was amazing but the property is in pretty rough shape…needs updated and pictures online do not depict the old peeling paint and rough interior of the property. Kitchen cabinets smell awful, which left the dishes smelling awful…we had to wash everything before using. Bathrooms had old peeling grout and towel fixtures are corroded/rusted.

Great View. Rundown condo

I loved the property and the view. Right on the beach overlooking the ocean. Also a a little ways from the main hustle of the town, but very convenient to all the amenities a town has to offer. However, the property was past its time to update. It was dirty when we entered and the main bathroom tub didn't drain properly so you were standing in water as you showered. Also there wan't enough hot water to completely shower and wash your hair.at the same time. Could have been a great experience.

Great location

Overall we had a good stay. The location of this property is hard to beat. Beautiful grounds, right on the water and surfers right next door. Property seems older and wearing out. Condo was clean, but probably hasn't been updated since it was built. Paint coming off walls, carpet (dirty) fraying away from strips, fixtures and cabinets from the 70s, etc. Could really use better kitchen utensils, etc as well. Was nice having in condo laundry. Vacasa was AWESOME to work with when we had an issue. Very quick to respond. As I said, we did enjoy our stay, just used to updated condos when we stay in Hawaii.

Loved Condo - 220

Amazing view! Couldn't get enough of it. The beds were comfortable and you literally have everything you need. Beach towels, washer and dryer, etc. The pool is amazing and the perfect temperature. It's quiet and laid back. A far cry from a bustling resort. We loved our time here. For the negatives: Condo 220 is right in front of a grill so our privacy on balcony was limited. Our neighbors in room 219 were chain smokers making it hard to stay on the balcony long without getting a headache from the cigarette smoke. As a smoke free property I was surprised no one said anything to them. Workers watched them while cleaning the grill or the maintenance guy walking around. A homeless guy on his bike spent a good amount of time asking me and other guests if he could come up and have a slumber party. There is security in the parking but this happened the one night I didn't see the guy. so I'm guessing the homeless people know the guards schedules by now.
