Nice Property - Not a Private Balcony

Overall, nice property. The balcony is a shared area. The partial ocean view is only a view if you walk over to the balcony wall and look over it. This “balcony” is a shared walkway, with at least 7 or 8 other condos. The main picture is very misleading, as the table is actually 10’ away from the wall, closer to the condo doors. So really no view from condo unless you are standing. This was our first trip to Hawaii. We spent our first morning dealing with the property mgr, who was very nice, but admitted that the pictures are misleading. They found us another property, but we had to pay out an addl 1400. They told us they would try to have us in the new condo the next morning by 12. So we spent the next morning repacking everything so we would be ready to go, as we had reservations for a luau that evening at 5. They finally got us into the condo by 330. Needless to say we wasted our first morning and 2nd day there, plus an additional 1400 (that I feel should have just been comped, since we looked at numerous places before deciding on this one), trying to get something taken care of, that should never have been an issue in the first place. Nice place if you don’t care about a view.

Very nice property

Very nice property even though all the construction that was going. We opted to still stay with construction because we had got a good deal and the construction was not obtrusive. Would like to stay the again after all the repairs get made.

Great but one issue

The property was great!! --- Only bad experience was we were getting ready to have appetizers on the patio. Cleaned the table and were just about to bring our food/drinks out when the neighbor above us decided to clean off his patio so water/debris came onto our table/area and made a horrible mess. We told him everything was coming down where we were going to eat-- he said it wasn't his problem. Sad :( Thanks, Mary

Overall great location, space is great could have been cleaner. The carpet was not vacuumed better, a few dishes we had to wash because they were put away dirty. The patio is awesome but it was really dirty we had to clean the table and chairs before using them. Beds were comfy kids enjoyed the proximity to the elevator to be able to get to the pool quickly. Would definitely come back. Thank you

Ample space and great location

We enjoyed the condo. There were some problems with ice maker, dishwasher, and slider, screen. The management company was very responsive to problems especially Christina. Lots of great beach equipment (chairs, umbrellas, ice chest). However I think the experience could be improved by checking everything out before renters arrive and also providing some basic kitchen supplies (e.g salt and pepper, oil, etc.). Overall we would stay again.

Beautiful

The resort pools were wonderful for the kids. Highly recommend water shoes for the beach-lots of sharp coral ALL over the beach. We came home with gouges on the bottom of our feet. The room was clean but not enough paper towels, kitchen towels and the filter for the coffee was the wrong size ( I left the correct size there). The bottom tray of the dishwasher was TERRIBLE and we would have loved some disinfectant spray for the kitchen. We loved the location of the room and everyone there was super helpful and friendly-would defiantly stay there again!

Amazing property and exceptional staff

Everything from our initial reservation to our stay was nothing short of exceptional. The property was ready, clean and beautiful. The staff was very quick to remedy the three minor issues with the room and had the handyman fix the bathroom fan and towel rack and freezer door handle quickly the next day. I am so pleased about our stay and can't wait to stay at the property again. I highly recommend staying here to anyone wishing to relax in maui. VRBO communicated with me throughout the whole time, offering suggestions on places to eat and things to do and made check in abreeze. I'll definitely use them again for our next trip.!

Beautiful location

The location is amazing. We loved everything about the resort. The pools, location to the beach, Dukes etc. The unit itself is close to the elevator, it is very large. The issues we had were that there was a huge stain on the floor, many of the pillows on the couch seemed very tattered. The unit needs a little sprucing up. The towel rack on both bathrooms fell off the wall. Unit was spacious. We could not get the air-conditioning under control for a few days so it was very hot until they came and fixed it for us. The management company was very very helpful and attentive. It was just not exactly what we expected. Just a word of warning your balcony is shared with six other units. Very well spaced apart. And it’s a much larger area than most people have. The sunsets are amazing right from the balcony but you’d have to go stand at the edge to watch it. Sitting at your table outside you would not see the ocean without standing. All in all it was a great experience. Just for the price I felt the unit should’ve been a little bit nicer. However it had everything that we needed, Including beach chairs and a cooler. Word of the wise, if you’re staying at this resort you can only purchase food and or drinks from Duke’s while at the pool.

Great location, great condo

We had a lovely week in Kaanapali. The condo was spacious and was more than enough to suit our family (we could have done with a smaller unit, but had planned on one more adult who had to cancel due to appendicitis). Our two kids (5 and 4) loved the huge lanai -- I highly recommend this unit if you have kids. We ate multiple meals a day sitting out and watching them run around (they met friends in the nearby units). You also get some amazing sunset views from there! It was super easy to walk down to the pools and to the beach. The condo had large beach towels, some sand toys, chairs, and two boogie boards for use. I would recommend picking up some basic cooking condiments as there weren't any in the condo (oil, salt, pepper, etc.), but was otherwise very well equipped for cooking. There are two grocery stores nearby to the condo and a Costco just outside of the airport. The check-in process was very easy and it was nice to have the bracelet keys instead of a key card or actual key to keep up with. Both valet and self parking (plenty of it) were included in the price. The wifi in the condo was good. We also took advantage of the on-site photography for some photos of the family. If you want to eat dinner at Duke's make reservations. We tried it one night, but there was a two hour wait! I recommend going down to the Sheraton for the nightly cliff diving ceremony. They also show movies on the lawn in Whaler's Village at sunset. Our kids had a blast climbing on the play structure and watching Kung Fu Panda :) We will definitely be back and will look to rent from KBM on our next visit!
