    Treacle Den en Treacle Cottage zijn twee knusse huisjes, ideaal voor stelletjes die op zoek zijn naar een plek om even weg te zijn van alles. Gelegen op het terrein van het huis van de eigenaar op een rustige laan op het platteland, beide huisjes zijn slim ingericht voor maximale privacy, zorgen voor een rustig toevluchtsoord. Op minder dan 100 meter van de huisjes ligt een uitstekende lokale pub die een uitstekende reputatie geniet voor zijn restaurant. Traditioneel gerund, de pub zijn naam, Botolph's Bridge, van de lokale legendes rond St Botolph, een 7e-eeuwse monnik. Er is een uitstekende selectie van stranden om te verkennen, allemaal binnen een straal van 3 mijl, en vele mooie wandelingen, waaronder het Royal Military Canal, dat onlangs verbeteringen heeft gezien voor wandelaars en fietsers. Er zijn veel lokale dorpen, tuinen, musea, monumenten en kastelen die zeker een bezoek waard zijn. De huisjes zitten gunstig binnen een paar minuten rijden van de snelweg, maar elk geniet van een rustige plek met het platteland aan de voorzijde en uitzicht op Lympne Castle over de velden aan de achterzijde. West Hythe is een klein gehucht binnen 3 mijl van Hythe, Dymchurch en Lympne. Gelegen in een beschermd natuurgebied, met uitstekende lokale wandelingen.

    Houtkachel in de woonkamer (eerste brandstof inbegrepen). Elektrische centrale verwarming inbegrepen. Reiswieg. Hoge stoel. iPod dock. Vaatwasser. Diepvries. Tuin met terras en meubilair.


    Beide eigenschappen: elektriciteit, beddengoed en handdoeken inbegrepen. Freeview-tv. DVD. Magnetron. Wasmachine. Parking. Niet roken.

    Bel eigenaar Miss Natalie Buckham op 01303 262998 of 07971 007253 een paar dagen voorafgaand aan uw vakantie om de details van de sleuteloverdracht te regelen.
    Vakantiegangers worden verzocht na 16.00 uur op de dag van aankomst aan te komen en vóór 10.00 uur op de dag van vertrek te verlaten, tenzij anders overeengekomen met de eigenaar.
    Verlaat de M20 bij afslag 11 en neem de derde afslag naar de B2068, volg de borden Hythe / Hastings. Neem op de rotonde de eerste afslag A20 en sla 3/4 km later linksaf de A261 op. Na 2 mijl rechtsaf (A261 nog steeds), ga dan verder A2008. Bij verkeerslichten rechtsaf (A259) en na 1,5 km rechtsaf Burmarsh Road in. De brugschuur van Botolph bevindt zich ongeveer 1,5 km aan de rechterkant net voor een bocht.

Treacle cottage was perfect for our needs.

Treacle cottage was perfect for our needs. Very comfortable, warm and well equipped. The setting was in the countryside overlooking fields with views of Lympne castle. A great base to explore other parts of Kent. We met the lovely host, Natalie, on our arrival and very much enjoyed the welcome pack that she had provided. The Botolphs Bridge Inn was a 2 minute walk away where we had a roast dinner on the Sunday and evening meals on three occasions. All the food was excellent and very reasonably priced and the staff were friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite some bad weather and hope to return in the future.

Large kitchen with everything one needs.The shower is excellent, nice size and plenty of hot water at a powerful flow rate.The bedroom is large with a large very comfortable bed. When I stayed (late winter), birds were chirping and was nice to see the sheep grazing (they were in lamb).The view across the field was very picturesque with the castle in the background.It was very quiet throughout the day and night.The nearby public house was friendly. The meals were very reasonably priced and the Sunday roast was just excellent. Service was by a team of friendly staff.To conclude, Treacle cottage is excellent for those who desire a peaceful break. I shall return.

Treacle cottage is lovely, fantastic views towards the castle with everything we needed.

Treacle cottage is lovely, fantastic views towards the castle with everything we needed. Our hostess was great leaving us a gorgeous welcome basket, she was there if we needed her but not intrusive. The pub across the road has tasty food and an outside seating area. There is supermarket about a mile away. There are loads of great walks around the area, Hythe centre and beach not to far away. We enjoyed our stay in the cottage. This was our first visit to Kent and we would happily return to Treacle Cottage. Lovely views from the garden so peaceful and relaxing. Walk along the canal is fabulous. Local brewery is inspired and must be sampled.
