'We recently stayed at The Read House hotel in Chattanooga and were very disappointed by how a serious cleanliness issue was handled. Ou our first evening, we found a live cockroach in our room. We killed it and immediately called the front desk. Someone to pick up the tissue with the bug, without saying a word and left. We never received an apology, follow-up or any acknowledgement afterward. At checkout, we mentioned the incident again to a different staff member, and she didn't react or...

'The property and staff were good! My primary issue was the air conditioner did not work properly and the valet service was not worth the extra cost! We parked ourselves because there was no attendant present.'

'Our room was clean but not the pull out trundle bed that goes under the couch. I had to notify staff and they came and changed the sheet but I was required still to make the trundle bed for my child. Staff were pleasant and pool was clean. Breakfast offered items for a child to eat like fruit loops. '

'The view from our corner room was fantastic, the pool was nice too. The property is walkable to tons of restaurants and attractions. But lets talk about the BREAKFAST. Im staying here again simply for the breakfast. Got it via expedia for $6 a person, which was a deal vs what you'd pay at the property. Easily worth $20 a person. The staff was wonderful, even threw in free Starbucks with breakfast totally unprompted. This particular hotel is doing a great job.'

'Very disappointed with this hotel. Booked 3 rooms for 4 nights. The walls are paper thin — you can hear literally everything from your neighbors, so there’s constant noise. Rooms on the pool side also suffer from a loud whistling wind noise. There’s a space under the door so light and noise from hallway enters the room. The beds are completely worn out — you sink into a hole and wake up with back pain. The elevators are extremely slow. Housekeeping was poor: the bed wasn’t even made (pic), just...

'Perfect place to stay for a two night stay. Small but efficient. A slight make up stain on the quilt was left behind so we gave a 4 instead of 5 of cleanliness.'
