Family Vacay 2025

This house is super cute, the host did an excellent job in planning out decorating and stocking this home. We actually could have just showed up with groceries and our clothes everything else was provided, the pool was a wonderful plus for our littles when the beach became too much. Surf City is our favorite spot and we would absolutely stay at this beautiful home again.

Perfect Family Getaway — Steps to Beach Great Nearby Golf

We had a wonderful stay at this beach house! The location is excellent — just short walk to the beach, making it very convenient for our family. The home was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with thoughtful extras like beach towels and cooking spices, which made our stay even easier. Communication with Paul was fantastic. We had a quick question about the hot tub, and he responded immediately with helpful information and offered to assist with anything else we needed. He also replied promptly to messages through VRBO. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the home comfortably fit our group of six — three older teen boys, one teenage daughter, and my husband and I. The guys especially enjoyed playing golf during our stay — they played three different days at nearby courses, which was a great bonus! I would absolutely recommend this home and Topsail Beach, especially for those looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway. We visited at the end of March, and it was very peaceful!

Philip and Ashtin’s wedding

This was our first time renting a home instead of staying in a hotel. Because of the wedding we all wanted to stay together. What a wonderful experience we had! The hosts have thought of everything at this vacation home. From ample towels to paper towels, poll toys and toys for our youngest, everything added up to a memorable long weekend. Our family will be doing this again for sure!

Amazing Place with EVERYTHING You'd Need

Surf Gypsy has everything you think you need and more. The place is cozy and the beds are comfortable. We brought our own toilet paper and paper towels, but left them in car because the house was stocked. The kitchen is beautiful and the fridge is huge. The pool was a major part of our week long vacation. We were out there everyday. And watched football games and the presidential debate on the back porch. The beach is a 3 minute stroll from the house, and great for morning walks. Paul was very communicative and prompt on responding when I asked about the video games. I highly recommend this place to anyone that needs a relaxing place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this property immensely! The location is perfect.. walking distance to anything you could possibly need and close enough to the ocean to listen to the calming waves. Paul was very communicative and helped us with any issues we had. Highly recommend !

The owner was fabulous to work with! He was attentive and responded to our needs! The pool was a hit with our grandchild! Location to beach is literally a two minute walk! The house was fully furnished with all the little things and big things you need on vacation! A great place to vacation!!!!

All the amenities you will ever want

Everything as on the website is exactly how it is. The linen towels, beach, chairs, bikes, heated pool, hot tub. Everything is extremely clean just a two minute walk to the beach. My nine year old grandson, enjoyed it immensely, bouncing back-and-forth from the beach to the pool. Great communication with the owner. Everything was just perfect for a memorable event with their grandmother.

Perfect Location!

One block from the ocean, this home is in the heart of everything that Topsail Beach has to offer. The house has 4 bikes for guests to use, which was very convenient! Beautifully decorated, there was more than enough room for our family of 4. The kids loved the pool and hot tub! We would definitely stay there again!

Hosts thought of everything!

This house really does have it all! We love surf city and staying ocean front but we didn’t feel like we missed anything staying here. With a short walk around the corner to the beach, and a 6 seater awesome golf cart to haul our crew and stuff we had everything we needed. We loved the proximity to the center of town, it was walkable, short bike ride, and a fun golf cart ride. The hosts really thought of everything and the house was exactly as described. I’ve never stayed in a rental with so many amenities and so well stocked. It really felt like home. The pool and hot tub were great and our small pup loved the fenced in backyard. The host was responsive and gave great suggestions on places to eat, and things to do. The house was clean and beautifully decorated, if you are considering booking, do it!

Ready to go back!

You had me when I walked through the door and had a tower of coffee pods! You had flavors I didn't know existed (and my family didn't think that was possible - LOL). The place had everything as advertised and them some. We have rented many times, but having foil, loads of paper towels, toilet paper for more than on day, more than one garbage bag, sunscreen even (I'll stop so I don't spoil ALL of the fun) - it was fantastic!! I hate having to shop for one of this and one of that and you made that unnecessary. Greatly appreciated and looking forward to coming back in the future.

Amazing beach house!

This house was a perfect getaway to celebrate our 16 year old's birthday with friends. Adults (and dog) stayed upstairs and watched football, while the kids had the run of the downstairs and yard (they especially loved the hot tub and boogie boards). They had so much fun, and it was an easy walk to the beach and shopping. We also were able to walk to dinner. The beds were comfortable (and so were the pillows), and everything provided was so thoughtful -- especially extra toothbrushes and toothpaste in all of the bathrooms. And some sunscreen! Such a great touch. We found everything we needed in the beautiful kitchen, and were grateful for coffee, cream and sugar in the morning. Paul was so kind and accommodating. A tropical storm shortened our stay, but Paul kindly allowed us to rinse off in the outdoor shower after our check out when we were able to extend our last day and take advantage of the nice weather after the storm passed. We definitely plan to come back and do a longer stay in this perfect beach house. Thank you so much for everything!

Girls weekend

Beautiful, stylish, boho perfection!!! We stayed 2 nights for a girls weekend and everyone was ooohing and ahhhing over the interior design of this place. We all agreed that the home was intentionally designed to be a lush, vacation rental. We loved the appliances, the gold details of the kitchen and the silverware, the coffee buffet, the pool, the hot tub, the outdoor electric fireplace and the master bed and bathroom. Perfect ocean view from the second story deck out. Super close walk to the beach and very convenient to restaurants and shopping. Perfect vacation home. Will stay again đŸ€—â€ïž.

Great vacation!

We stayed at this nice house for 5 nights! This is in a really good location to beach access as well as other activities in Surf City. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Check in and out was very easy. We have everything we needed for our weeks stay. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful boho retreat!

We can’t say enough about our awesome week-long stay at Paul’s beach house. Paul could not have been a better host. He was incredibly accommodating, providing everything we could need and more. He checked in on us throughout our stay, and was very responsive, ensuring we had the best possible visit. The second we walked in, the house smelled great and was very clean. There were pamphlets and magazines waiting for us that included info about the island. It was so exciting to walk around the house and explore the beautiful decorations and bedrooms. We were pleasantly surprised by everything we came across in the home; it was stocked with anything and everything you could think of. The sheets and towels were so soft, the beds beautifully made and so comfortable. The house easily fit the 7 of us, along with our two pups. The pool and hot tub were an added bonus! There were fun pool toys and several rafts to choose from. At night, the backyard was lit up with string lights and the pool was spectacular. The house is right across the street from the beach, taking us literally 2 minutes to walk there. The beach wasn’t too crowded, and Paul provided all we needed (chairs, umbrellas, and towels). Thank you Paul, so much, for making our stay here at Topsail such a memorable one! We hope to be back!
