23 Ruddy Turnstone is a beautiful home packed full of history. This five bedroom, five and half bathroom home is your luxury vacation home located 4th row ocean on a beach path just steps away from the beautiful Hilton Head Island beach. Originally built in the 18th century, this home was moved to Sea Pines in 1963. Dubbed the "Freedom House" - this architectural masterpiece is filled with character & charm. It underwent a major remodel and expansion - the original bricks, beams, doors, mantels + railings leave all of the character that makes this such an amazing home. There is exposed brick throughout and truly just beams with architectural charm & charisma.

Grill out for the family on the outdoor grill or relax in the seating area outside. The private pool and spa can be heated seasonally for an additional fee - see details in description below.

This is a dog friendly home allowing two dogs maximum. The pet fee is $250 plus tax - must reach out to us in advance to confirm your pet details.

1st Floor:

The kitchen is equipped with nice stainless steel appliances, Wolf gas range stove, full sized refrigerator (no freezer), marble countertops & more. There is also a stand-alone ice maker, wine fridge, a second oven, and 2nd full-sized refrigerator with a freezer located in a side room off the kitchen.

The living room has a 65” smart flat screen TV + access to the pool deck. There is also a den off the kitchen area with a flat screen TV. The laundry room is on this level with a washer and dryer.

Bedroom one has a queen bed, walk-in closet + 55” smart flat screen TV. The updated private bath has a shower/tub combo.

2nd Floor:

The master bedroom has a king bed + access to the private southern style porch. There is a walk-in closet + 55” smart flat screen TV. The private bath has a large, updated walk-in shower + marble countertops.

Bedroom three has a king bed + 43” smart TV. The private bath has a double vanity + walk-in shower. Bedroom four has a king bed & a twin bed with a pull out twin trundle + 43” smart flat screen TV. The private bath has a double vanity + walk-in shower.

Guest House:

Steps away from the main home, you will find the mother-in-law suite located upstairs separate from the home with a king bed + 65” smart flat screen TV. The private bath is updated with marble countertops, double vanity + large walk-in shower. Additionally, in this suite, you have a second washer & dryer, microwave, mini-fridge + coffee maker.

• Distance to Beach: 4th Row Ocean

• Pool/Spa Info: Approximately 27' x 13'. The pool and spa can be heated seasonally for an additional fee. The spa can be heated year-round for an additional fee. The pool can only be heated for stays falling between Labor Day through Memorial Day for an additional fee. No pool heat is available during the summer months. Please email/call us at least two weeks prior to your arrival if you would like to add pool/and or spa heat + pay fee.

• Paying guest reservations staying between 4-27 nights will receive a $250 VayK Life beach/bike gear credit. This will be emailed to you after making a reservation and is valid for VayK Life rentals only.

• Parking is available for up to 6 cars max. Car passes are an additional $17/pass/week.
