  • Le Shanty est situé dans un coin à l'écart des sentiers battus, à quelques pas de nombreux magasins, restaurants et attractions. .7 mies d'Amtrak.
    4-6 personnes. Cette maison est pleine d'amusement et extrêmement confortable! Une chambre privée avec lit King Size garnie de dessus et de plusieurs oreillers en mousse à mémoire de forme. Grand espace de vie avec canapé-lit queen en mousse à mémoire de haute qualité et beaucoup d’espace pour se détendre. Personne supplémentaire ou 2? Il y a un matelas pneumatique qui se gonfle facilement (voir photos). Nous avons également une porte pour bébé. Salle de bain de grande taille avec toilettes séparées, douche, miroirs, tous les draps et les articles essentiels fournis! La cuisine a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour préparer un bon repas ou simplement vous réunir autour de la table pour savourer un verre de vin, jouer à des jeux, comme bon vous semble!
    Beaucoup d'espace extérieur pour traîner et venir à la fin de l'été ... causeries au coin du feu, un jeu de fers à cheval.

Cute, nicely decorated older home that had been remodeled. Easy access to town and shops. Quiet neighborhood. Amenities were good with very nice coffee bar. Host was very helpful and accommodating.

Very nice property, close to everything, but in a very quiet area. Everything you needed and more was provided by the host. Lot’s of nice touches and we liked the eclectic feel. Would definitely stay here again or in the companion property onsite.

Great place to stay! Super clean house, stocked with necessities, walking distance to boutiques and restaurants. Our host had great communication and was very responsive to our needs. Nice sitting area out back. Comfortable bed, and sofa in living room was fine to sleep on as well. HIGHLY recommend!

The Shanty was a perfect home away from home for our visit to Hermann. Great location, cozy yet spacious, super clean, and had everything we needed (including a blow dryer with diffuser which is a must for wavy/curly girls!). We loved it so much we’re hoping to come back again in the fall!

We were very happy with our stay. Great location for walking to the places we wanted to go shopping eating and coffee. Bed was comfortable. We will visit again.

The Shanty was very clean and well maintained. Host responded quickly with any questions we had. The location was central to everything and we walked everywhere. This has nothing to do with the host but if you want to shop and eat in town, many places were closed early in the week. We still enjoyed our trip.

Darling Cottage!

The Shanty is beautifully decorated, convenient, and had all the amenities we needed for wonderful stay in Hermann. We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the place. One of the cleanest rentals we have ever stayed in!

The house is adorable, very clean and walking distance to the shops, bars, restaurants. Easy check in and out. We will be back next year!

We are frequent visitors to Hermann and this location did not disappoint. The decor was so cute and inviting, the kitchen was fully stocked with all you will need. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best for enjoying the outside area but it’s perfect for a couple or a group. You can get to downtown Hermann in just a short walk. Next time we will try to rent the property behind the house and invite some friends. Becky was very friendly and quick to respond with any questions we had.

Wine and Dine

We came to Hermann to explore the town and Missouri wineries and The Shanty on 5th was the perfect place for us! It was conveniently situated for experiencing Hermann and all it has to offer. The Shanty is well-appointed and the kitchen well stocked with dishes, cutlery, knives (sharp!!!), cookware, and spices so we could cook breakfasts and dinners as desired. We especially appreciated plenty of towels and amenities in the bathroom and the comfy bed. Becky made check-in simple and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and was available via text to make sure checkout went smoothly. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely Wonderful

This home was perfect. We loved the decorations. It was very homey and the back patio was a great place to relax. The host did a great job with communication. It was so close to everything that we walked to all the dining and shops. We would absolutely stay here again.

Mommy time-out

My best friend and I wanted to get out of town for a little R and R! We fell n love with this house on the listing. When we arrived it was everything we had hoped for and more! The fun as bright decor, the high end mattresses and luxurious linens were enough to help us sleep well away from home and even catch some extra zzzzz’s. The bathroom is totally made for gal pals to be able to get ready together and still have privacy! The check in process was flawless! We are been received text messages with events and recommendations for in town food, drinks and shopping! The location was perfect! A quick stroll and we were down in the heart of Hermann! Easy to catch a quick Uber (Debbie was so great) or snag the trolley! We felt close to it all, but far enough that a night cap on the back patio was quiet and relaxing. We will definitely be back!!! (And booking The Shed on this property as well!)

Excellent from start to finish

First, Becky was awesome; enough cannot be said about her responsiveness and work to make sure our trip was memorable. The house was very comfortable, well-kept, and had almost anything you could ask for in linens, appliances, and supplies. The location was perfect - most everything was in walking distance of the house (we did not drive once the entire weekend). All in all, would absolutely recommend.

Nice accomodations, but lacks privacy

The home well decorated and is situated on a corner and close enough to walk to many locations, which is nice. Unfortunately no window on the property has anything more than a sheer curtain for privacy, no blinds or opaque curtains even in the bathroom and bedroom. At all hours of the evening there are people walking on the sidewalk which is within ten feet or less from both the bedroom and bathroom. At night, even with sheer curtains, anyone could see inside. The shower area of the bathroom has no light. To see anything at night in the shower we had to shower with the curtain open. When you step out of the shower there is a window with a sheer curtain and no blinds. We found lipstick on one cup (guests wash the dishes themselves and there is no dishwasher). Otherwise the property seemed clean.
