'Lovely peaceful cottage with a very friendly and excellent host. Two pubs in close proximity and lovely local facilities in charming village of Yarpole in next village. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well designed. Excellent shower ! Would love to revisit.. '

'Overall this was a good stay, rooms were nice and clean and there was plenty of space for 10 adults to stay. However, both ovens failed to heat properly which made cooking a bit of a pain. Check in process was not great, only being able to arrive between 5-6, the owner did not respond to any prior messages. Despite this, the local area was stunning, and the house was fit for purpose and good value considering the price of other locations in the area for a group this size.'

'We stayed at The Weir House over Christmas and it was honestly magical. The setting is absolutely idyllic — right next to the river with beautiful views of the rapids, Yat Rock, and the little cottages twinkling with Christmas lights on the hill. The house itself is stunning. Spotlessly clean, incredibly spacious, and the beds were really comfortable. The kitchen was so well equipped with every piece of kitchenware you could ever need — the owners have clearly thought of absolutely everything....

'Beautiful place, peaceful and quiet surrounding. The lodge is very clean and has everything you need. Perfect place for a relaxing weekend. Everyone had a great time, even a teenager enjoyed the stay :) Our dog loved it there.'

'An absolute delight from arrival. Nothing to moan about at all, (apart from the stairs, but that did wonders for the thighs). It was just as we imagined and hoped for. The scenery was absolutely magnificent and the home itself was beyond words. If this is an example of Bolthole Retreats, there is the possibility we may look at others, in fact not a possibility a definitely.'

'Lovely views the hosts were very welcoming. The wild life was great its not everyday that you can be sitting outside, with deer wondering through your back garden . The local pubs were good value and staff very accommodating lThe cottage itself was very clean and had all you would require for a short stay.'
