'Hotel is very close to the ferry pier and the torii gate. Cute but cheeky deers are passing by the hotel and restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. Friendly and helpfull staff, an additional breakfast reservation in the evening the day before was no problem.'

'The Miyajima Hotel Makato was an absolutely excellent experience. Their customer service was the best I have ever seen in my life! They were very helpful with every need and request. I absolutely would stay here again! The only thing I would change was the type of room. Make sure you want to stay in a traditional room if that is what you want. It is what we requested and was so cool. Next time I would stay in a modern room. They were excellent!'

'The room is nice and the biggest we have had in Japan. It was very quite at night since there was only one other guest but on a different floor. Great free drip coffee and chill area downstairs. The self check-in was easy if you use the pre-check in option. There is no staff but everything is explained very well with pictures in the book that is provided.'

'We stay at The Yard for 8 nights. Our unit was clean, the bed was comfortable and the office employees were very friendly. We appreciated the frozen “light meals” that were included in our very reasonable room rate. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Our only complaint would be that the completely asphalted property has very poor drainage, so when we had an extremely rainy day our shoes got soaked walking onto the property to access our unit. '
