Beautiful log home! Large and spacious, and FAMILY FRIENDLY!

This fantastic log home sits on a hill ( so the driveway is uphill) giving you views of the George Washington National Forest from the wide wrap-around front & side deck and from inside the home.
The deck is gated so the kids can play!

Wood walls, bamboo floors, ceramic floors, granite kitchen counters, high ceilings, big windows, high-speed internet and gas grill.

The master bedroom is very spacious and has its own private deck.

Foosball table, family and adult board games, cards and movies will keep you entertained. This home has WIRELESS high speed internet service.

SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED ANYWHERE ON THIS PROPERTY.

LINENS FOR ALL BEDS INCLUDED. BATH TOWELS INCLUDED.

LEGAL MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: 9 PEOPLE

Enter the great room. 2-story high ceilings and huge windows. Enjoy the year-round views from this room and the deck. Living room has a sofa and chairs, cable TV, DVD player, stereo with CD, and some toys for the kids.

Dining room table seats 6. Big and spacious kitchen. Step out onto the deck from the living room and dining room. Gas grill and picnic table are on the deck.

Two bedrooms and a full bath are off the great room. Bedroom 1 has 2 twin beds. Bedroom 2 has 2 sets of twin bunk beds (4 beds). The bathroom has a tub with shower.

Upstairs there is a loft with a loveseat, armchair, foosball table and a TV for gaming. The master suite is also upstairs. Master bedroom has a queen bed and a private deck on the back of the house. Master bathroom has a shower.

This Massanutten home is approximately 1800 square feet, and is ready for your visit with the following items:

Winter: There are snow shovels and driveway salt in the garage. The driveway will be cleared for your arrival. If it snows/ices during your stay, you will need to use the provided materials to clear the driveway.

NEIGHBORHOOD RULES:
- This home is part of the Massanutten Property Owners Association (MPOA) and is governed by its rules and regulations, as well as federal and state laws and local ordinances. There are short-term rentals in all MPOA neighborhoods, but people also live here. Your nearby neighbors may be full-time residents, including families with children, retirees, second homeowners and other guests enjoying their retreat.
- Quiet Hours are between 10 P.M. and 7 A.M. Please keep noise indoors during these hours. No excessive noise at any time, as judged by MPOA or its assigned agents.
- Parking: Keep all tires off the road. Do not block fire hydrants or park in front of another property without written approval from your host. Park only in designated areas or overflow lot (4007 Peak Dr., Massanutten, VA 22840) No buses, campers or RVs to be parked at homes or on roads. Overflow lot is available with written approval from your host.
- Outdoor fires: High wildfire risk! No open fires. No unattended fires. No firepit use during quiet hours (10pm-7am) This home does not allow firepits. Firepits and grills may be restricted during local emergency conditions, check MassanuttenVillage.com or electronic sign at entrance for updates.
- Alcohol: No open containers on roads or in common areas
- Pets: Leash always required when outside. Clean up after your pets.
- Trash: Do not place trash outside the house, including on screened porches, decks
or car ports. Trash attracts wildlife, some of which can endanger you and the
property. Dumpsters are located at 4007 Peak Dr, Massanutten, VA 22840

Great mountain cabin

Our entire experience with the property was great. Check in was easy, there is plenty of room and we had all the essentials for cooking, etc. The home has a great remote feel tucked up against the mountainside but only 5 minutes to the resort. This is a great place to stay.

Beautiful place for a family!

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The space was clean and well organized, with plenty of space for all. The kitchen was well stocked, as was a game cabinet with puzzles and a few games that were enjoyed by my kids. The view was spectacular, especially for a morning cup of tea or an evening moment of relaxation. The pool pass was a nice addition, although we didn’t have an opportunity to use it. The owner was very responsive to a small issue when we arrived, and everything was taken care of quickly. Thank you for a great day!

Family trip

Our family had a good time at this property. We love the space and amenities. Very family oriented with games to play as a family, toys for the little ones to play around the kitchen while I was cooking and beds to accommodate the whole family. Only downside of this stay was the pillows. It made our nights rough while sleeping because they were flat and the beds are sturdy se we needed more support. Overall, it is an amazing house. My kids were in love with it and I fell in love with the layout of it. Lori was a wonderful host, very hospitable and quick to respond. We’re thankful for this! We also enjoyed getting to know the Massanutten resort as this was our first time visiting.

Clean house

Pros: Clean home, nice bedding and towels. Nice grill. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Cons: We come to Massanutten resort every year but this is the worst driveway in the entire resort. The only way to get in is back in. After dark it's even harder to drive in because it's so dark. Maybe adding a few solar lights would help. A few furniture pieces are overdue on upgrades. Limited silverware/cookware (tiny cooking pots/pans, only 5 forks) but good supply of knives. Dinner prep was definitely a bit tricky.

Nice home

House was nice and we enjoyed our time there. Deer greeted us morning and evening and walked right to us, kids loved it. Location was great for our skiing trip. The drive way was super steep and was a problem for a flat lander like me and my minivan. That was the biggest area of concern for us.

Such a great house!

Our stay here was perfect! The house was very open and comfortable. The bedrooms were great. The bunk beds were very stable and I felt totally safe letting my five year old sleep on the top bunk. The location of the house is close to the slopes and tubing. The only downside to the house is the driveway. It is very steep! As long as you are aware of this and prepared, it is doable and you get used to it. Other than that, I would completely recommend staying at this property! Communication with the owner was great too. We had an issue with a toilet flusher breaking and the owner promptly had someone come fix it. It was a great weekend for my family.

Not what I was hoping for

The location of the property is great, nice neighborhood. The driveway is EXTREMELY steep which required 4WD to back up to the house. Barely enough parking for a 4Runner and a Pickup truck. The house was clean, however, the cookware was not in decent shape. Most of it was old nonstick cookware and most of the Teflon was flaking off from use with metal silverware. We had brought food to grill but the grill grates were so rusted we couldn't use it. The house sleeps 8, but the living room is not conducive to that number of people and is not comfortable. There is only a couch to seat 3 and 2 chairs. There were 4 of us and we felt we were on top of each other while trying to watch a movie. The lighting in the living space is poor. Very dim at night. I was not able to read in that room with all the overhead lights on. There is a TV if the main living room. A small one on the balcony but this is pointless as you can hear both due to the proximity. Also, there is a fuse ball table on the landing which makes it hard to watch anything on that set. There are not any TVs in any of the bedrooms. We had two children with us and would have liked to be able to let them watch a movie in their bedroom to wind down from a big day at the resort. One of the bath towels had a large hole in it and was frayed. Some of the hand towels were so new it was apparent they had not been washed prior to placing them in the house for use. The dishwasher did not work, this happens. Things break.

Perfect Weekend Away

Great spot for a quiet weekend away. House was in great shape and perfectly situated in the mountainside of Massanutten. Place was clean and comfortable. We will definately stay here again in the winter when ski season kicks in. Thank you for a great stay.

Excellent views and wildlife abounds.

Beautiful cabin…we loved it… the driveway was another story. I think a winter stay there would be very questionable unless you own your own snowplow. It is very steep and challenging to navigate even in dry warm weather.

Overall served its purpose, when we arrived the towels were wet, trash under the beds, and mold on the shower liner. There was a few bottle caps on the deck as well. Looks like the house had or has water damage. Looks to be in the middle of a repair. Driveway was very steep and from other reviews people said the same. No way you can turn around at the top. Probably would not stay here again.
