'The Atlantic Coast is an older motel, but very well kept and clean. They leave you two water bottles, two cans of soda and two bags of chips-which is a nice touch. They have an Indian restaurant on the premises that is very popular with the locals. The only downside is that they do not staff the front office. However they are very responsive in terms of delivering ice, etc if you text them. A very good value if you want a place to base yourself in and then drive the half hour to Bar Harbor.'

'My initial impression at check-in was a bit guarded as the entrance and lobby needs updating. The reception person was quite informative and took us to show where our rooms were, which were in an adjacent building. But I must say, the rooms were spotless, immaculate. 'Location was great for Acadia National Park. Breakfast is lacking, a lot of things are out of order or unavailable. Breakfast staff was seen disregarding proper food safety in regards to changing gloves after exiting the restroom and practicing hand hygiene before dealing with food items.
