The property is of zero security and we had a very bad experience with the snake skin all over the place and VRBO team didn't even bother to respond in any manner. The internet doesn't work, the TV remote doesn't work, there are no locks for toilet. Beds give heavy back pain, secluded are with dangerous road with a squeeze road and turns. Overall I suggest not to stay in this property and zero support from VRBO.
The place where the house is located is beautiful, it is on top of a hill and it is Spectacular⊠If I am going to say that the house needs to be dusted, another thing is that I try to communicate with THOSE WHO ARE IN CHARGE OF THE PROPERTY because the room where the bunk beds are the ceiling when using the sink on the 2nd floor the drops fell in that room when we called they answered us the next day almost at 5 in the afternoon and even so they did not send anyone the shower on the second floor the SHOWER door was loose and could NEVER BE CLOSE to bathe but the house is a good location and is very cool but they need to be given some love! also location is a very convenient is close to Gatlinburg and also pigeon Forge. It was nice to see in a place that it was just like minutes away.
Location location location! This cabin is so accessible and situated right in the middle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The kids loved the game room downstairs, and the view was great. The cabin is a little older, but overall we were happy with our stay.
None of the tv was working and we contact them and no one was able to fix the TVs, tree has fall on our driveway and we was stuck inside the cabin for 7 hours.
When we got there I was blown away! Absolutely loved the cabin but after the day went on started to notice a few things⊠the driveway was scary narrow, the curtains in the basement werenât secure, the lights outside the master room didnât work, the beds were uncomfortable, the door you enter through is hard to lock, the hot tub stairs were unsteady. Now everything Iâve listed is so minor i definitely feel like the most important thing is the beds and the driveway just be careful! Other than that i absolutely loved it in every way itâs close to amenities, you get the real cabin feel it fits large families. We absolutely had a great time.
Overall, the cabin was as expected. Our next to last day, we had no power or water in the cabin. We assumed that it would be back on, so we left to enjoy our day. Whenever we returned that night, the power was still out and we still had no water! Long story short, we called the power company and was informed that the power bill had not been paid and service had been disconnected. The lady we spoke to on the phone for the cabin was very rude and hateful and told us lie after lie. We requested a refund due to a day and a half of no power and water and not to mention the food we had to throw away. We were offered a $200 refund which is unacceptable. As much as we loved this cabin and the location was great, the customers service is the worst weâve ever experienced.
Fantastic beautiful property with games, swings, and ample beds. Home is very open air and great for late night with friends; kitchen had plenty of cook tools (although we had to go out and buy salt and pepper)
I was super grateful that there was a crib for my 1 year old, however even though thereâs a crib, it didnât seem like a super suitable home to sleep a baby in just because of the location of the hot tub where people would want to be late at night and that the house is more made for friends sitting around playing games and laughing late.
Super central to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Great location.
Waterfall/pond feature picture should be taken off the listing since this has not been kept up and is more an endangerment to go near it.
Would definitely recommend this spot to friends.
This property was amazing. Beautiful view of the mountains and a perfect background for our wedding. We invited family and friends, all had enough private space. The bunk room was a perfect spot for the kids and the primary bedroom had just enough privacy for the hot tub. We didnât have any complaints, and the reviews we read before hand were mostly about the driveway going to the cabin, but what driveway on a mountain isnât a little steep? Overall a beautiful property and we are already making plans for next year to return.
My family and I had a great stay at this cabin! The only thing that was a little unsettling for us for the steep and narrow driveway up to the cabin, but besides that, it was wonderful!
This cabin was huge! My family enjoyed every bit of it! I will add itâs extremely high in the mountains so if youâre not a fan of heights this is probably not the cabin for you! Overall stay was great though :)
The location is very private and pretty. I had my two daughters and their families staying. The ages of the children were 4-9 years old with a total of 7. They loved it with their own bunk room downstairs with lots of activities. They loved the swings and playing outside. The cabin was good but most of the cookware needs replaced and we could not find a hand mixer even though there were beaters in the drawer. There could have been more glasses for drinking. Only a few plastic ones and a lot of coffee cups. We were given early check in and late check out with no difficulty and it was very appreciated. I would stay there again.
This property was more than accommodating. We had a group of 14 ladies with us and the moment we stepped foot on the property, all 14 of us were in love. We spent only about 2 hours in downtown Gatlinburg as Grannies but that is a whole other story! The rest of our stay was spent exclusively at the cabin cooking, dancing, laughing and making memories together. Some of our lucky cabin attendees even got to see a Bear by the front of the property! While we didn't use the nursery this weekend, this property would also be perfect for families with children. Only one of us actually slept in the top bunk beds as there was only a small piece of plywood to support the bunk, but we did pull the mattresses down and make a pallet in the middle of the floor. The air flow did vary from floor to floor but that is to be expected. Overall, this cabin was wonderful & this trip is one my baby sister will remember forever! Thank you for a great stay!
Clean, fun place to stay for a family get together.
We had a great family reunion with three families. The teenagers all had a good time in the bunk room. Slept until 1 pm a few times so it must have been dark and quiet. The younger kids enjoyed the swings. We were all comfortable and the place was clean. A lot of wildlife around. Tortoises and lizards and hawks and we even saw a bear the first day. There were a few small issues but the hosts were helpful and resolved everything quickly.
We did a vacation with extended family here and everyone loved it! We had 5 adults and 7 kids ranging in age 5-16. Everyone had something to do or spot to relax. The house had everything we needed. The host was very easy to work with and had us all info before we even left home.
We enjoyed every aspect of this beautiful home away from home in the Smokies. Couldnât have asked for a better place to relax after long days in the mountains.
Our stay at Hand Hewn Hideaway was great! The check-in/out process couldnât have been easier. Cabin was clean and in great shape, just as advertised! There is a lot to do in the cabin, and a lot to see outside! We enjoyed sitting on the decks and saw wild turkeys, a lynx, and a black bear while we were relaxing! Would love to stay here again the next time weâre in Gatlinburg!
