We loved this property. It was the perfect size to offer each of us some privacy but still enjoy each other’s company. The view was great, and the beach was not crowded. We had a wonderful stay.

This home is really lovely and the view of the ocean was just like the photos! I took a quick trip to Galveston as a treat for my mom and kids at the end of the summer. My mom and I loved how peaceful and beautiful it was at the house and that you can enjoy the scenery sitting outside or inside. My kids loved the bunk bed set up and how easily they could get to the beach to explore and swim. It's a bit of a drive to east Galveston attractions but is worth it in exchange for the quieter stay. The management company and owners were very responsive, and the home is well stocked which minimized the need to unpack some things we typically bring with us. Overall, this was a wonderful stay, and we definitely look forward to returning again!

This home was absolutely perfect! It was clean, had everything we could possibly need and was beautifully decorated. We have been to Galveston many times but this was our first stay in this home and we will be back! It has an amazing location to the beach - so peaceful and private! We didn’t hear any noise at all from traffic or neighbors. We had such a restful, worry free stay and are very thankful for all the details that were taken care to make our stay perfect!

We loved our stay! Had a really great time! The house was exactly as advertised: well-kept and well-stocked. The beach was a short walk and a lot of wonderful family moments were spent by the amazing deck with an awesome view. Nazneen (host) was very helpful and quick to respond to questions. Great house, awesome stay

My family has been staying in this house for a week in the summer on and off since it was built in the 90s.This trip had a couple hiccups that were resolved quickly. I let the property owner know that we started getting a some ants in the house (this is unavoidable in Galveston) and there was an exterminator there literally in less than half an hour. We didn't see another ant the rest of the week. I was grateful and impressed with how quickly the owner responded and fixed the issue. I was honestly expecting ant traps and they sent an exterminator. Well done there. Then, we accidentally left some books in the house, and the property owner mailed them back to me. Also, loved that there was no crazy chore list before checking out. Overall, I was really impressed with the condition of the house and the responsiveness of the owner. I love the location (Sea Isle) and will definitely return in future years.

We enjoyed this lovely house, with a short walk to the beach. It was spotlessly clean and communication with the property manager prior to our visit was good. My only complaint is that we ran out of toilet paper in the master bath, and there wasn't a spare roll to be found anywhere. Overall, a minor problem.

Sea Star has it all

This cottage is comfortable, they’ve thought of everything…very well stocked. Great view and ocean breezes from the deck. There are lots of beach toys. Can’t say enough good things about The Sea Star. Thank you Rhodes family for a well planned house for your guests.

Very nice house. Everything you could possibly need. Plenty of towels, paper goods, soap, cleaning supplies. I was surprised by everything available. Beach view was great from very nice deck. We enjoyed our stay so much!

The tv in the bun room wouldn’t work so some of the kids wouldn’t sleep in the bunk room because it was too dark. Bought food to grill as it states there was a grill that could be used but it was coated in rust so we couldn’t grill. I didn’t love that the checkout was at 11 because of the instructions for check out including doing the laundry, dishes and stripping the beds. That didn’t really leave anytime to just vacation and enjoy the family today.

We loved it here

My family of 5 stayed here, and we loved it. The location was perfect. Even being there during the weekend, there were no crowds and we also liked how no cars were allowed on that stretch of beach. The house had everything you could need and more. It was our first time to the beach as a family and we are looking forward to coming back. We plan on booking this house again if avaliable . ,

Wonderful spring break!

We loved this house last year. The location, the layout, the space and access to the beach is wonderful 👌 The only sour note, there were gnats coming out of the kitchen and upstairs restroom. They were extremely annoying. I called the phone number on the frig and I never received a text or phone call back.

Good place for families with young kids!

This property is great for families with young children. It has direct beach access and the upstairs is ideally set up to have parents in one room and the kids in the bunk room across the bathroom. They even had kid stuff in the house and safety rails for the top bunk. The house is one of the most well-stocked that I have seen which made life easier. They had several rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, hand soap, trash bags, (even baggies!), shampoo and conditioner, a good amount of beach towels and bath towels, as well as plenty of blankets and pillows. The kitchen had everything we needed. The garage downstairs had boogie boards, a tent for the beach, and sand toys. The tent is great so you don't have to haul yours. Two things to bring with you that they did not have: 1) A baby gate if you have toddlers. The deck does not have a gate to close it off from the stairs to the beach. We often had to figure out a way to block the steps from my 20-mo. 2) Beach chairs. There were plenty of kid chairs, but there were none that could fit an adult. We had to go buy beach chairs or we would have had to sit on the sand the whole time. The 4-star rating is due to communication with the host. We went the first day of a tropical storm. I sent a text and message through the app verifying the property was still accessible and not flooded out. We did not hear back about it until a day before our trip was over. Luckily we went anyway and took the risk.

Fantastic stay

We have been coming down to Galveston with our family for the past 3 years, and have finally found a place that we want to continue staying at on future trips. The house is well laid out, well provisioned and well situated right on the beach. We’re already planning our next booking.
