Did not even end up staying at the Vrbo for any of our trip. First we had shown up to the house and had received a call from the host saying he extended the other visitors stay, meaning we could not stay there anymore. He stated he could put me in another house 2 mins away. Turned out the house was 10 mins away, and off of the island. He stated we would be able to go back to our original house we booked the next day, but then said if we did want to go back, we would have to pay a cleaning fee because we were already in this house. House was very dirty, table and couch were sticky, sheets were dirty. The silverware in the drawer was not even clean. The second house was not in a great neighborhood. We left and had to stay in hotels instead. Overall a terrible experience.

If I could rate 0 stars I could. We received a confirmation with the exact address and door code with instructions on how to get to the unit. When we arrived we put in the door code and there was someone else inside!The host was called by the current occupant and instead of apologizing to us and the current tenant he began playing the blame game. First blaming the tenant for not confirming her dates which allowed me to be able to book on vrbo. Then called me and yelled at me saying that it was rude to bust into a place without confirmation of being able to stay. What do you call the information that was sent to ne several days ago then? Then he tried to move us to some other location. But at that point we wanted nothing to do with this host, because if the door code was something that was sent out automatically then that means he doesnt change it and whos to say someone wont bust in on us? We contacted VRBO and the man who handled our cancelation was wonderful. Overall scary situation that was thankfully not worse than it could have been.

The place was nice and clean. However, when looking for the thermostat to turn the heat up, I removed the furnace guard to notice 2 dead cockroaches. No live pest seen in facility. Also, all 3 TV's it was difficult to find local television to watch some sporting events. Never did find any, so we gave up on watching any TV. Finally, there was no coffee maker or toaster. Disappointing!! Overall sleeping comfort was really good! Nice rooms but needs some improvements as mentioned! Thanks, eric

This stay was extremely disappointing. The property we were given did not match what was originally booked, and we were relocated to a different accommodation that raised serious concerns regarding cleanliness and overall condition. The surrounding area also made my family and me feel unsafe, and we were not comfortable staying there. Communication with the host was very poor. When I raised concerns and requested to cancel, the situation escalated instead of being handled professionally. The responses I received were unhelpful and hostile, which added unnecessary stress to an already negative experience. Based on the condition of the property and the lack of professional communication, I would not recommend this listing to other travelers.

Not Posh!

No! Anything but Posh. Day before trip tried to move us off the island. We booked and paid for on the island in Ft. Walton, as to not fight the bridge traffic everyday. Arrived and did not feel comfortable putting clothes in dresser or closet. All furniture looked like it came from the side of the road. Numerous stains on couch, not ok for children to sit on for a week. Overall very disappointing. We left. Host disagreeable, not professional. Will never use any property listed under this host. Save your money, avoid the haste, and book elsewhere.

Manger, called while we where traveling to condo. Started that there was an issue with condo and we would not be able to stay there. But he had a other place for us, but it would be a 15 minute drive to the beach, instead of us walking. When we made other arrangements, he refused to refund our payment. After calling VRBO to dispute the charge I learned that he said the condo was ready at 4 for our use. The manager was the one that called and started we would not be able to stay at condo. We are fighting to get are refund.Will not use anything he is associated with.

Canceled on us an 4 hours before check-in.

No mention of max capacity for the apartment texted the host to let them know are number of guest because on there description there is 50 dollar up charge for every extra person sleeping in a bedroom over 2 people so that means we would have to spend an extra 150 dollars which was totally fine with us. Never got back to me on that when I texted them 2 weeks out they ended up responding 4 hours before check in and canceled on us when we already made the 4 hour plus drive down there. Completely unprofessional.

Great location to public beach

Perfect location for public Beach access across the street. Short walk to restaurants and shops. Beautiful view of sunset. This location was great for a small Family very clean.

This is the farthest from “posh” I’ve ever seen. I find it very hard to believe that the positive reviews I saw online before booking were from real people. I was there about 2 hours before I decided I just couldn’t stay there. It was very run down and in disrepair. The couch was hard as a rock. Some light switches were falling out of the wall. Bathroom faucets weren’t attached to the counter. Toilet seat was old and stained. Bathtub area had been poorly caulked multiple times and there were still holes. After I went to move a nightstand to access an outlet and stuck my hand in something gooey, I decided that was the last straw. I went to wash my hands and realized there no wash cloths, hand towels, soap, etc. I tried to open some drawers and most were stuck or had no hardware to use to open them. I suppose that college kids looking for a place to crash after partying might find the place acceptable but I certainly didn’t. I sent a text to the owner with my complaints and got back what I expected-a note that there were no refunds given. I’m a frugal person and hate to waste money but it was worth walking away from this place and going somewhere that was clean and comfortable and not run down. I did take a few pictures and am happy to share upon request.

Great stay Great hosts.

Started a little off, with communications, but was made up for later with constant communications, hosts did everything to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. I am very happy with the way we were treated during the stay and can recommend this property for anyone. we were moved to a better location. There are a few things that should be done, to make things even better, but nothing that takes away from the great location and hosts for this property. 10 stars thanks I will be back, with my family.
