The perfect family gathering spot for Thanksgiving! Such a beautiful place that instantly felt like home from the moment we walked in the door. So much attention to detail, all the way down to a Thanksgiving card, pumpkin pie and beach themed YouTube video playing! Super clean and well stocked with everything needed. Great ocean views with a very large back porch. Our stay couldn't have been more comfortable. We all hated to leave!

Beautiful View

The property has a beautiful view of the ocean with a nice table that seats 6 people. I love the sofa in the living room because there is ample room for everyone. The master bedroom is great, but the other two bedrooms could use King sized beds for comfort. The place is in a great spot so you can walk to any restaurant. Rita’s was our favorite! The parking space is tight with a Jeep Gladiator. However, I signed up for Instacart and had our groceries delivered, so we never had to leave the property and walked to the restaurants.

Disappointing

We had one in a wheelchair and a nine month old baby. The elevator was very important. It stopped working Tuesday. It was not repaired by the time we left Saturday. We had to have the fire department help bring my mother in law down three flights of stairs. We couldn’t take my mother in law out at all. This ruined our vacation.

Great Folly Trip

The unit was great. It was everything as advertised. Wonderful views of the ocean from the front deck and a nice big, roomy condo. Location was great as we walked everywhere in Folly Beach.One cautionary piece of advice, If the elevator breaks down, there is no sense of urgency to get it repaired and this may mean lugging your luggage up or down 3 flights of stairs. It broke down on Thursday and was not working when left Friday mid morning.Other than that it was great and we would definitely rent here again.

Absolutely delightful location & accommodations

Bright, spacious, clean, incredible view, quiet & comfy. Kitchen was thoroughly furnished with everything we could've asked for. We're talking of returning and not even bothering to investigate what other possibilities there might be for a Folly Beach stay!

Family Beach Trip

Traveling to SC for over 10 years each summer, first time at Folly Beach. The location is wonderful! Folly has shops/restaurants in walking distance and a family friendly beach! Perfect place to vaca with my older children- they could easily roam on their own. The condo was spacious and comfortable for our family of 5. Living room couch was ample and comfy, the porch dining table was lovely, and the covered patio was a great place to keep sandy items. Bonus outside fridge was handy to grab a cold water on our way down to the beach. We like to cook most meals and had a Walmart order ready when we arrived. The kitchen was fabulously stocked with great cooking utensils (knives, spatulas, serve wear). We spent several half days in Charleston doing touristy activities and location was perfect to enjoy the beach every day. We’ll be back!

Perfect condo for family!

This condo was completely updated, clean, kitchen well stocked. Most condos for family of 6 usually don’t include eating spaces to accommodate 6. This condo had super nice outside table where we ate all meals. Location was perfect. The vaykrental worked like a charm! Delivered our bikes, chairs before arriving. Only drawback was day 4 we lost our beach due to beach work. I wish we would have been alerted to this before booking. The beach looked horrible and we had to walk a ways to access the beach. But we were refunded a night which was fair. We would rent here again 100%!

Nicest beach condo we’ve ever stayed at!

This condo far exceeded our expectations. I’ve been visiting Folly for 20 years, and this is by far the nicest place I have ever stayed. Brought my BFF and teen daughter here for 5 day trip, and it was just so beautifully decorated and spotless, stocked with everything one could possibly need, that we stayed on the deck overlooking the ocean playing board games and having the absolute best time! We felt very safe with the double locking doors to the front porch and front door, and it was incredibly quiet. Easy access to the beach and the elevator was awesome. We will definitely return.

Great Place!

My favorite spot was the back deck. After a day on the beach, it was like still being on the beach but without the sand and water. The condo was clean, well taken care of and up-to-date. The front porch was a bonus. Private and plenty of room to put all your beach items. Enjoyed our stay here at Folly Beach. Will be back for sure.

Very clean, relaxing, home away from home. Staying here made it hard to want to go into Charleston to do things. We just wanted to hang out at our beach house all day every day!

WHEN YOU RENT OUT A THIRD FL. CONDO, THE ELEVATOR MUST WORK.

The entire stay was affected by the fact that the elevator to the THIRD FLOOR did not work. Even though the place was nice, location was fine, parking was good, etc., that's what I expected, which is why I rented the place for week. The elevator did not break. It worked the first day. I talked to the guys working on it, who told me that it was a scheduled repair, not an emergency one. I'd specifically asked the agent at Avocet if there was a working elevator and was told yes. I wasn't told of any planned repairs beginning the second day of my week-long stay. They should have taken care to let me know what was what with that. It can't be that they didn't know. They manage the building. I had elderly family and friends who either weren't able to visit, or visited once and could not come back. There were other family members who had physical difficulty managing the 72 stairs up to the 3rd floor- including myself- particularly coming up from the beach or from food shopping... I've never written a review before. But this was a very bad thing that really affected us. We were there for a wedding, and invited many people to stay at Folly Beach and visit with us, the parents of the groom. It really put a huge damper on things, and presented a physical hardship to a number of people. It turned a nice place into a nice place in a BAD BUILDING As t was a scheduled maintenance, not a response to a breakdown, we should have been told of that and offered a second floor or an alternative property. Far as I'm concerned, Avocet owes me for really damaging my son's wedding time for us in terms of how much family I was unable to have up to the place, and how difficult others found it to climb all those stairs. I'll return to Folly but find a different agency to trust with the arrangements, and suggest to others they do the same.- G. Greene
