'Had two nights in a family room whilst visiting York, which can be easily accessed by car in minutes. The ground-floor room was clean, spacious and very well appointed, with a large TV and a small but perfectly formed bathroom boasting an array of hand-wash, shower gel, shampoo and separate conditioner! Breakfast was excellent, though options for evening dining were limited. That said, we enjoyed a couple of lovely meals at the nearby Cross Keys pub, where it was possible to reserve a table....

'If you want a relaxed break this is a great hotel to book, just come back from a weekend away. What a joy to stay somewhere with such amazing staff. Room was lovely very clean comfy bed. Great breakfast we also dined in the restaurant and bar which was really nice. Had a three hour spa to finish off our stay. Will definitely be back.'

'This was a real last minute booking, but what a winner. The guest house was wonderful. The room was very comfortable (didn't want get out of the bed). Such an individual look to each room. Made a nice change from the usual Travelodge/Premier Inn ordinariness. Did Didn't try the breakfast. Will rectify that next time. Very impressed. Highly recommend. '
