The house was clean and nicely decorated and had plenty of comfy seating in the living room. I met the owner when I arrived and she was very nice.I have only two minor complaints: They do state that the property is on a "working farm," but I was surprised to find that my bedroom window was about 30 ft away from a chicken coupe--complete with a resident rooster. So at exactly 4:39 am we were woken by his serenades. And pretty much remained awake for the rest of the morning. I had actually been hoping to sleep in a little, getting a break from my cats who wake me around 5:30 for sustenance. Nope. Both mornings I was woken *before* dawn. Again the rooster is directly outside the bedroom window, just on the other side of the driveway.One other minor suggestion: perhaps clean up the back area where the fire pit is located and add some cushions to the hard, uncomfortable metal chairs--or select different chairs. We were hoping to sit outside in the evening but the back area looked uninviting and uncomfortable, like the chairs and fire pit were just tossed back there as an afterthought. Also the large table out there was dirty and set off to the side. If you're expecting guests, I would think the table would be cleaned.

Great spot with plenty of room for us. Loved the option to bring the dogs but sadly my oldest wasn’t feeling well enough to travel and they quickly refunded our pet fee. Very likely to stay again as it close to family. Beds were a bit hard for our preference but place was very clean, well decorated and lots of pillows, blankets and games. Sad we didn’t have time to enjoy the pool.

Great country home in a convenient location

While it seems "out in the country" the property is very conveniently located. 20 minutes to Wilkes Barre/Kingston/Dallas and 30 minutes to Harveys Lake.Very nice, responsive owners. Friendly dogs. Home was very well stocked. Even had coffee and sugar waiting for us! Pool looked beautiful but, unfortunately, we had a very cold rainy week and couldn't enjoy it. Beds were comfortable and check in/out was simple. One note- our GPS did not recognize address as Harding. But put in Exeter Twp and it came right up! Very quiet, beautiful setting in the mountains. Would strongly recommend for a quiet stay.

Fantastic, quiet, beautiful, relaxing all rolled into one. The food that was delivered (menu on refrigerator) was great too. The bonus to us is that it is pet friendly! We highly recommend this location.

Welcoming and friendly. Home is clean, well stocked, and property is very well maintained. Check in was clear and easy, house rules very fair and clear. Country setting in the mountains with clean crisp air. Not a far drive from restaurants and stores- about 20 minutes away . We were there for a graduation and enjoyed the convenience of a home away from home. Hostess is warm and friendly and attentive. Didn't get to swim but walked the long driveway and got great exercise. It is almost a mile long! Will return if coming to the area.aaway.

Great place but make sure to bring paper towels

I rented the house for my husband, children and grandson. My sister and her family were in another house on the property. We were in town for a family reunion. Overall, the house was well appointed and comfortable. I loved that family games were available and there was a playground for the kids. Playing at the coffee table in the living room, I noticed some sticky stuff on it. I went to wipe it off and realized there were no paper towels or cloth in the kitchen. I asked the host about paper towels or napkins. She said they did not provide them. We have stayed in a number of rental homes and extended stay rooms. I have never had ti bring my own paper towels. There also were no Kleenex or napkins. We did not have time to go out looking for a place to purchase these items so did without. I would suggest that either the host start providing these items (raise the rate $5 if necessary) or notify renters that paper products are not provided. Would return but will be more appropriately armed next time.

Comfortable and clean

We only stayed 1 night. We are in the area for a family function. The apartment is comfortable and clean and communication with the host was quick on the response. Two of us wanted to swim, but we didn’t arrive until around 8 PM but after checking in with the host, they allowed us to swim and had the lights on for us. We will likely be back if we need accommodations again in that area.

Beautiful country retreat

We were coming in town for the funeral of a friend and wanted something close by where we could relax before the funeral the next day. Martine was such a gracious host, and had the pool ready for us when we arrived. The kids and i took a quick dip, then headed back to the house for dinner and an evening of relaxation. The next morning, we took our time having breakfast with the windows open so we could hear the birds. I love the late checkout time (11 am) because it gave us a chance to take it slow. Thanks, Martine and family, for a wonderful stay.

Great Stay

We stayed at this property while visiting our son at college for the weekend. It was a quick 20 minute drive to see him in Wilkes Barre. The house was so clean and very nice inside. It was perfect for us, and we were able to bring our dog. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone visiting the area.

Beautiful location

Wonderful escape in the woods. Close to parks and town. Very convenient. Be aware there really isn’t a yard to hang out in. The house is just next to the owners house, so not much privacy unless you are inside. That said, the hosts were wonderful and not intrusive at all!! They were so gracious and very welcoming.

Very comfortable and quiet!

We loved the size of the kitchen and the quiet setting - was such a joy to sit with the windows open and listen to the crickets. Plus, the rooster was polite enough to not announce the dawn ;) and the chickens always greeted us with soft chortles when we brought our dog outside.
