'Met expectations. Host provided selections teas coffee, milk and bread. The flat was clean and tidy. The flat was in a good location, opposite a train station. Only annoyance was the standing water in shower which didn’t drain well. Definitely would stay again.'

'We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there'

'Lovely stay here. The room was fantastic, staff helpful and breakfast was amazing. The chauffeur ride into Cartmel was also a great touch. We shall return!'

'The chalets are located around a lake with ducks and swans. Nice house with 2 bedrooms, a good sofabed, two badrooms and a complete kitchen. Very helpful reception. Sorry that we only booked one night. We will return!'

'I rarely write reviews about holiday stays but had to do so for our three night stay at Grange Manor. The room was fabulous-luxurious,spotless and so comfortable and the extra finishing touches made it a home from home. Breakfast served every morning in the room was a delight. 'Voor de prijs krijg je een prima maar sobere familiekamer. Lieve mensen en typisch Engels ontbijt.'

'Loved this place, a little out of Cartmel but liked that, pleasant evening stroll into town, great view across the racecourse, well looked after hotel, plenty of parking Points to improve could do with some car chargers but thats a minor point, will be back'

'The bathroom floor was leaking brown water and the staff refused to apologise for it'

'oud verblijf, netjes en compleet ingericht, vriendelijk. Geen hoogvlieger maar een goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Geselecteerd op parkeermogelijkheid....dus niet. Langs de weg in het dorp of op een betaalde parkeerplaats uit het zicht. '

The bathroom was not good no water pressure so water came out very slowly and not very hot. Shower unit was very noisy and no heating for such a big bathroom apart from a towel rail so it was...
