'The staff went above and beyond. It was my girlfriends 30th birthday and while I was in the UK they helped to get things organised and things didn’t change once we got here. The best treatment, I could see the staff did this across the board for everyone at the hotel. They really couldn’t have helped more if they tried, from the manager, to the reception staff, bar staff and everybody else. 'Fantastic 150 year old house with 3 bedrooms, 3 baths. One of the most beautiful places we ever stayed. Furnishings are beautiful. Great pool. Great breakfast. Great caretaker, Mohan, also a very good chef preparing dinners for us. The owner stopped by and was extremely helpful. '

'Fijn hotel, we kregen bij aankomst een upgrade naar een hogere verdieping waardoor we prachtig uitzicht hadden over de Oceaan. Het zwembad is heerlijk en heeft ook stoelen met een mooi uitzicht. Daarnaast hadden we zowel ontbijt als diner in het hotel en dit was erg lekker met voldoende keus (was a la carte en geen buffet). In de buurt liggen mooie strandjes en de stad Galle is goed bereikbaar. Zeker een aanrader dit hotel'

'At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there.'

'Leuk verblijf midden in centrum van Galle fort. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk. En hebben voor ons meerdere malen vervoer geregeld. Kamers roken erg muf bij binnenkomst. Kan ook komen doordat het de tropen is. Wat ik jammer vond is dat de witte handdoeken erg verwassen waren. Ze waren totaal niet meer wit. Maar dat is een klein detail. Ik zou deze locatie verder absoluut aanraden. '

'The villa is built as an old roman villam with an open patio with pillars untill the roof and a pond in the floor. The rooms are spacious. Super safe and quiet. A lovely garden in which you can have breakfast. '
