It was a great place to stay! It had some sand toys and chairs that we could use on the beach. You do need to bring trash bags, paper towels, dishwasher detergent and dish soap and some other things like that for the kitchen. Beds were comfortable and clean. You can find it cheaper on my heaven vacation.

Spring Break w Teens

Great property, location and size. Located right near food, shopping and the beach. Although it was colder than what we were planning the pool was heated and had a hot tub. Rhe house was perfect size. Ample beds and bathrooms for the kids to spread out and have their own space. Would definitely stay here again.

Great property but needs attention

The property and area was nice but the homes heating and cooling system needed maintenance. Several calls and texts to management were made and issue never resolved. There is a pest control issue also that needs to be addressed.

Amazing for family!

We booked this place because of location and how nice the house and amenities looked online. The house was exactly as described, Beautiful and well kept with everything you would need. They even had an ice maker!! It came with beach chairs and a wagon which was nice for the short walk to beach. The pool area was wonderful with lots of lounge chairs and shaded seating too. Lots to do in the area from shopping unique shops to the big name shops, boat rentals and fun things for all ages! Highly recommend the Donut Hole but get there early and Fudpuckers for lunch and alligator viewing. The Blue Angels and the Navel Air museum, both free only 1 1/2 hours away and worth the drive! Everything was just amazing and we loved the bunk room for the kids and all the beds were comfortable! We would highly recommend. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars for location is because of the beach space allotted for people not staying directly on the beach. It was pretty thin.

Fine house needs TLC

Nice beds, well stocked kitchen and great bunk room. It’s time though for a deep cleaning and floor scrubbing as well as a top-off on pest control. TLC needed: upstairs porch door has a taped up broken window, first floor shower door needs re-hung it doesn’t close properly and water gets all over the bathroom floor. Couches are much lived -in and need replaced, dining room table is super uncomfortable and heavy tall chairs are difficult to move around.

Location was great- a short walk to the pool and 6 min walk to the beach. The staff at the community was very friendly and do a great job taking care of the aesthetics. The house was very spacious and had all the kitchen necessities for cooking and feeding the family. The bathrooms were clean, great water pressure and hot water for everyone lol. Overall had a great stay. The only concern were that the floors weren’t clean when we arrived. We have infants that like to crawl and the floors weren’t mopped prior to us arriving. Also, communication about maintenance arriving was poor. We had cleaners, a dishwasher guy and pest control come throughout the week and we were not notified of anyone coming which is quite scary cause one of them was not “scheduled” per the property management company and we had the baby and my sister home alone. Other than that- I would recommend and stay again.

Fantastic and Everything We Needed

This house was absolutely amazing. The checkin was very easy and the app they use made it easy for me to send the access details to the rest of our party. THis kitchen was very well equipped and allowed us to cook some great meals. Proximity to the pool was magnificent - right around the corner, but far enough away that when it got packed and loud that it didn't impact our stay. Plenty of space. Kids loved the bunk beds. My only bone to pick was the cleanliness of the floors and counters, we had to wiped them down and vacuum because we walked around barefoot our first day and our feet were completely black and covered in sand...however, we are not beneath putting in some work. Other than that, this place was everything we needed and more.

Beach vacation

The house was lovely and stocked with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The kids loved the waffle maker! My only complaint was that after driving for over 6 hours and arriving at 4pm the cleaning crew was nowhere near done. We had to sit in our car and they said it would be 30 minutes, but after that time passed we asked if we could at least go upstairs because we wanted out of the heat and out of the car. For the amount of money I spent on the rental, I really believe it should’ve been ready by check in time.

Great stay

The house was exactly as pictured. Layout worked perfectly for our group (2 families of 4 and a set of grandparents). Some of the furniture was a little "tired", but everything was very clean. The location and beach shuttle worked great (close enough to walk for those that wanted to, but very convenient to have the shuttle for grandparents/young kids/people carrying a lot to the beach). Having the ice maker was great for the beach cooler. Coffee maker didn't work.

It was a wonderful experience. The village is beautiful and quiet. Pretty pool. Within walking distance To the beach, which was gorgeous, the water was clear. Beaches were white. The house was exactly as pictured. We had everything we needed. Would definitely come back and highly recommend.

Great Spring Break location

We really enjoyed this property. Great communication leading up to our stay, and we easily accessed the unit upon arrival. Had a hiccup on the first night when we parked a golf cart and 3 cars in the driveway - no overlap on the street - because there is a 3 vehicle (in the driveway) limit in the condo complex. We didn’t realize this included the golf cart. We woke to a neighbor pounding on our front door telling us our car was about to be towed. Thankfully, they let us move the car, and we parked a vehicle in a nearby overflow parking area for the rest of the stay. Also, even though I didn’t see the message until the next day - the property manager was apparently notified by security in the middle of the night, and tried to call us, too. The unit itself was extremely clean, nicely decorated, very roomy, and had many amenities. We had five parents and six teens in our group - and didn’t feel crowded. The large dining table was perfect for playing cards and games at the end of a day at the beach. The unit was located close to the pool, and across the street from Destin Commons, where we drove our golf cart probably everyday. We were also located near enough to walk to the beach - but with chairs and stuff - we used the golf cart to transport people and things. We did have an issue with a clogged drain in the rear master shower upstairs, and they had maintenance over in less than 24 hours. We would stay here again. Very nice property. Overall, a great experience.

2023 Easter Week at Big Tuna

Property was clean, up-to-date and as described in the description. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms and showers were great. Our family had a great time using the pool and the short walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend to other families looking for a nice rental in Destin.

Wonderful experience

Our recent vacation was everything we hoped for and more! We stayed at the "Champagne & Roses" home managed by "My Vacation Haven" in Destin, FL. When you look at pictures on the internet, I think we all hope that it is what it looks like, and it was, if not better! The home was immaculate and the perfect place to vacation with friends and family. The kitchen and dining room layout was perfect, and had everything you needed to prepare meals at home. (It also had a separate ice maker which for some reason worked out so well!?) The bedrooms and bath were clean and spacious, and one room had 4 bunk beds which worked out perfectly for the teenagers in the group. The check in process was flawless, and the communication and helpfulness of the management staff was so reassuring and helpful. We were also impressed with Destin, FL. The beach was a short six minute walk from our house, and the white sand beaches were beautiful. Also, the grocery stores, shops, restaurants and places to see were endless, and you could always find an activity to match the mood and interests of our family. We could not recommend "My Vacation Haven" and the VRBO experience any higher.

Great Place to Stay

Had a family of 6 + 2 dogs stay at the property. Plenty of room for all with 2 kids, 2 parents, and both Grandma's. The house is beautiful, clean, and has plenty of beach stuff to use. Only thing you'll need is beach towels and food/drinks during your stay. Two small downsides to this house which are not the owners fault at all! The community pool is not heated and the beach was a bit of a hike for one of the Grandma's who stayed with us. She had hip replacement surgery a few months ago. You can drive to the beach if you need to. Overall would love to stay at this house again!
