« Charming motel and nice grounds. Room very basic but clean and comfortable. Staff were great. Food truck had very tasty options. It was nice to grab our supper from the truck along with a couple beers from the bar and hang out on the deck. We will stay here again when back in the area. »

« This is a very old property. The current owners are trying to update everything. I wish I could give it a higher rating because they're trying so hard. The rooms are very dated but the beds were comfortable. They are updating the rooms one at a time The location is great, less than half a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hopefully they can revive this motel. There's a great restaurant down the road in Linville Falls called The Famous Rockhouse. I highly recommend them for breakfast. »

« This is a cute little chalet. It slept the four of us just fine. Just a couple of issues, baby mothes throughout, back burner is burnt out on stove, light bulb was burned out upstairs, and overall the decor feels dated except for the new sofa. Also, outdoor chairs were dirty and filled with spider webs. »

« Skyline Village Inn is a quaint, magical place with a wonderful stepping-back-in-time feeling to a peaceful, slower pace of life. The view from the balcony is gorgeous, and it was the perfect place to spend the full moon. I loved my stay so much that I booked a second night. « This is one of the most charming inns! Yes, it's a bit old and the room a little small, but it's clean and super bright. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept like babies being able to open the windows instead of having to endure the noise of the air conditioner like in all places. The front desk staff was very nice and called within a few hours of our arrival to make sure we liked our room and were comfortable. We will absolutely return here! Super kind & pleasant employees were more than happy to give recs of nearby destinations and adventures... all were polite to answer so many of our questions…was neat learning the history of the Inn, too. Building and grounds were so clean and quaint! Rooms were spacious and comfortable… Felt like stepping back into a different time & place; so many great little corners to relax, read, enjoy coffee and/or a drink. So close to great trail heads and fun towns, but...

« Blowing Rock is a beautiful little town. Unfortunately, big conglomerates are buying up the small hotel properties, and the personal service that was once the rule is now lacking entirely. We stayed at Azalea Inn and were disappointed. To start, we had to go to a different property to check in. During our whole stay, there was never any staff onsite at Azalea. The grounds are lovely, but it's an old building. We stayed in a "deluxe" room for our anniversary, but had to climb a dark, smelly...
