Set on 2.3 private acres with 1,768 sq ft of interior living space, the home sleeps up to six guests and was designed for relaxation and connection. From the deck and hot tub, look out over the treetops to mountain views in the distance. Inside, a mid-century modern interior brings warmth and character to every room, with a full kitchen and modern appliances ready for everything from morning coffee to a full family dinner.

Exclusive HOA Community Access:
Beyond the home, guests have access to a private HOA community with year-round amenities — lake access on Lake Rhodhiss for kayaking, fishing, and lakeside walks; pickleball courts; hiking trails; an outdoor clubhouse with a full kitchen; and a seasonal community pool. The clubhouse and pool deck remain open year-round; the pool itself opens Memorial Day and closes after Labor Day.
The setting:
Connelly Springs sits in the foothills of central-western North Carolina, about an hour from the Blue Ridge Mountains and within easy reach of Morganton, Hickory, South Mountains State Park, and Pisgah National Forest. The property is your home base for exploring western North Carolina — close enough to the mountains and lakes to make day trips effortless, but far enough out to feel like a true retreat.
Whether you're here to unwind on the deck with morning coffee, gather around the fire pit at night, or set out to explore the foothills and lake nearby, Maple Hill Lookout is designed to be the kind of place you don't want to leave.
A few things to note before booking:
- Registered Guests Only: Only the guests on the reservation may be on the property. No outside visitors. Maximum 6 total (adults and children combined). Strictly enforced.
- Signed Rental Agreement Required: A signed rental agreement is required for all reservations. Access instructions will be provided only after the agreement has been completed.
- No Smoking or Vaping is permitted inside the home, anywhere on the property, or in any shared community areas (including the pool, pickleball courts, picnic areas, parks, and hiking trails). A $500 additional cleaning fee will apply if evidence of smoking is found.
- No Pets of any kind. Service animals are welcome per ADA
- No Parties or Events: The home is for the enjoyment of registered guests only. Parties, events, or gatherings exceeding the number of registered guests are not allowed.
- Vehicle Restrictions: No commercial vehicles, work vans with exterior branding, large trucks (¾ ton or larger), RVs, trailers, or boats are permitted on the property or within the Lakeside Reserve community.
- Parking: A maximum of three (3) standard passenger vehicles are allowed per reservation. Parking is permitted on the driveway only. Parking on the grass or street is not allowed.
- No Commercial Activities, Photography or Videography is permitted inside the home, on the property, or within the Lakeside Reserve community.
- Quiet Hours are from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Please respect the peaceful surroundings and neighboring residents.
- Furniture: Indoor furniture may not be rearranged or moved outdoors. Outdoor furniture must remain in its designated areas. Any damage or additional cleaning resulting from moving furniture will be charged to the guest.
Security & cameras (disclosure): The property has four exterior security devices — a Ring doorbell at the front entry, a Ring camera on the upper deck focused on the stairwell, a Ring camera on the lower deck facing the back exterior door, and a Ring camera on the side of the house facing the walking path to the fire pit (the fire pit itself is visible at the far edge of the camera's view at a distance). The hot tub is positioned outside the view of all cameras. There are no cameras inside the home or in any private outdoor relaxation space.
