'Centrally located in the Old Port, with views of the harbor, this was a last minute — therefore pricey — excellent find for a fall weekend getaway. Stylish, elegant rehab of 19th century granite industrial building. Whimsical decor notes referring to 19th century owner Evalina Fox. Nicely appointed kitchenette — though if you came to Portland for the foodie scene, you might end up just using it for breakfast, as we did. Only sour note was the disco music (coming in via the ventilation...

'room was very modern, however some areas did not look well cleaned (edge if the bed had some dried white liquid). the surrounding area has nice shops but is very sketchy at night. did not feel comfortable with the parking situation. also at 6am sounded like maintenance or cleaning crew was constantly in and out of the elevator making tons of noise. was good for a night but wouldnt stay again.'

'Very helpful and friendly staff'

'Fantastic stay. We had the Stovall room which was very spacious. Bed was huge and comfy and the bathroom was also very big. Nice shower with lots of water pressure and nice products. Service was super friendly and everything was clearly explained. We’re lucky enough to be able to park next to the building. Only thing that could finish things off would be a small fridge in the room and a coffee maker.'

'Loved our stay here. Really comfortable bed, lots of drinking and eating opportunities around the hotel. '

'Perfect location in Old Port- everything was walkable from the hotel. Room was spacious and very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would 100% stay at Canopy again!'

'The hotel is a great location for activities on the wharf and surrounding area. Very walkable. Room and staff were great! I didn't like the surprise $45 a night valet "service". At that price point, it leaves very little room to tip the actual valets. There was also a $35 + tax / day for their Destination Ammenity fee. They disguise that as free food purchases charged to the room. It ended up costing nearly another $300 in fees that I didn't dnt expect.'

'Great location and clean rooms. The walls aren’t very thick though so you can hear a lot. The bar is a fun vibe and the bartender, Chris, was wonderful! Great service and conversation.'

'Close location to airport. Sweet Neighbhorhood Good shower and breakfast was delish. Loved eating on the houses China'

'The toilet did not flush ! Ihad to remove the tank lid and lift the stopper. It was late and I neede to get to sleep rather than wait for a repairman. In the morning the room was cool and I attempted to adjust the thermostat and it was flashing a battery symbol. I reported it to the desk attendant and he apologized. How can a room be cleaned by an employee and not notice these issues? I was expecting better from HIlton.'
