Lodges in Chichagof Island

'Glacier Bay Lodge is several miles outside of the small town of Gustavus, but the destination of choice for travelers to the area, providing an optimal staging place for trips out to the glacier. We hiked the coast on the forest trails running north and south from the lodge. Both trails are extremely well maintained and gorgeous the whole way through. The staff was more than happy to ensure we knew all of the risks in the area and allow us to borrow bear spray just in case things went sideways....

'Three of us from Fairbanks stayed two nights at Tuck and Lisa’s lodge, it was just amazing!! We saw seals, whales, and hummingbirds everyday from the deck. They let us use their kayaks and we could get closet to the small island where more than a hundred seals were resting. All of us are planning to go back to stay here in the future! Five stars :)!'
