It was a real treat to have our own private lake, and we could watch the fish jump, the busy beavers hard at work and the bald eagles looking for dinner. 'We rented this property for our family vacation. We really enjoyed the setting; beside the West Branch Peshekee River with a steep rock face on the other side of the river, kayaking on the river, off the grid, it feels like you're miles from anywhere... If you want to try kayaking on the river by the house, you'll need to do it in early summer or the water level might be too low.. It dropped quite a bit just in the 6 days we were there. Also, the house doesn't have central air, only 3 window air...
