'A basic hotel with simple rooms. The fourth bed in our room was noticeably shorter, so my 13-year-old child didn’t quite fit. That said, the restaurant was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly. And although the rooms were quite basic, they still met all our needs.'

'Decent place to stay but a bit expensive for what it is. Other surrounding hotels like Dakota were listed for cheaper. Flush didn’t work either & the woman on the phone was slightly rude. Walls were quite thin also so could hear everything going on.'

'The hotel is in an old building, so some of the inconveniences can be described as 'charming'. However, do not visit when you value your nights rest, since the bed feels like it is made from a bag of rocks. More comfort wouldn't have mattered anyway since sleeping was impossible due to the bright lights and drunk screamers outside. The bathroom's low, tiny sink and lack of any shelves, storage or hooks, forcing us to put everything on the floor, left us with back pain. Halfway through our visit...

'a very good value for money option for those wanting to stay near glasgow. Reasonable commute by car to the city (1/2 hour or so) - suggest you go the more Country route. Local area isn’t significant, so suggest you eat in the city. Our large room got a lovely sunset, whilst sitting on a large raised couch. Quiet. (though the birds can get noisy for a bit - nothing the property can do about that though). Sheep in the garden ! Recommended.'

'Het is niet een echt goed hotel. We waren op doorreis naar Schotland en hotels in de omgeving waren ivm de common wealth games erg duur. De prijs vh hotel is redelijk en je kunt op loopafstand naar de trein die je naar Glasgow centrum brengt, wat we hebben gedaan. De service is uitstekend, super vriendelijk personeel. De bedden zijn niet goed, te zacht.'
