'We had a lovely stay at the cross hands old sodbury We checked in and on arrival we where told breakfast was between 7.00 am & 10.00 am So that was fine but on the Saturday we wanted breakfast at 7.00 as we where showing dogs in a dog show at Bath Only to be told breakfast was between 8.00 and 10.00 on a weekend So we had to miss breakfast As we had to leave at 8.00 am Wasn’t happy as I had paid for two breakfasts which we didn’t get'

'We loved staying at this fantastic old pub the staff were great breakfast was fantastic and included in the price. The only 2 things I would change is the bed, it was rock hard and could’ve don’t with a soft top mattress topper to fix this problem, and there was no air conditioner and the room was very hot so a ceiling fan or even a pedestal fan could be in the rooms. Other than that everything else was great. '

'A Hidden Gem of a Hotel. Staff Are All very Friendly and made us Feel very Welcome. Food is First Class. Grounds are very well Manicured. Excellent base for Visiting Bristol, but you will need a Car as Hotel is off the Beaten track.'

'Very last minute booking. Only stayed for one night and the room was clean and well appointed. Mattress I would say needs to be replaced and struggled with the wi fi signal. Good breakfast included. Staff friendly and accommodating. Nice open space and river walk close by. Would definitely stay again if in the area. '

'Was met by a very polite young man who carried our overnight bags to our room which was unexpected but good to have. Room very spacious but too hot, although they did have a fan. Compact bathroom with expensive fittings but not complete. Tap is loose and the one light was flickering on and off. I think this is still a work in progress but it won't take long to get there. Woukd stay again'

'Lovely pub with comfortable room. Friendly staff and nice beer. I was greeted with a warm welcome and escorted to my room. Tea/coffee making facilities were present and fresh milk available on request in the bar. I only had breakfast once but it was tasty and well presented. '

'Not the first time we stayed here, because of its proximity to Bristol airport. But apart from that, this brewery owned pub is a very nice one. Good food, friendly staff and very comfortable rooms. Hope to be back soon.'

'The place was spotless and had little touches to help make the stay comfortable. We had a minor issue with one of the apartments, but customer service was quick to deal with it and we really appreciated that. Overall a nice stay with great location, car parking is quite limited though.'
