'Excellent stay! We’ll be back'

'I enjoyed my stay here. The motel is old, but well cared for. It reminded me of an old motor court, as the rooms were all on the same row, one story, where you could park right in front of your room. The rooms still use a key, but they were spacious, quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable and I really like the pool. There were lots of places within walking distance. I was disappointed with the bikes that were available, as they were all rusted and hard to ride. The beach was a 5 minute...

'What worked: AC, fridge, beds What didn’t: lights, doors, staff'

'The whole vibe of the place and area was just fantastic!'

'New boiler was being installed the first morning. So no hot water for 2 days. And water pressure was never great. But it was very central to restaurants, groceries, and sites!'

'Sliding glass door would not lock, so not secure. Reported and did fix. AC did not cool in front of villa. Humidifier in use. Strong old, musty smell. AC in bedroom did cool. Down blanket too warm for September and no other blanket available. Kitchen with one spoon and one table knife. Pots pans limited and some in poor condition. Would not recommend!'

'I am still waiting for refund for my booking. I have contacted property as well as Expedia many times via messages, email, and phone. Cape Hatteras is under a State of Emergency and no one will process my refund which is against the law. The roads are not accessible, and this has been declared a natural disaster by the state of North Carolina. Still waiting for replies back from all parties.'

'Poggy was the best employee of any hotel we’ve ever stayed in. He went above and beyond to insure our stay was wonderful. We will definitely return to the hotel sometime'

'Nasty. Room wasn't even made up from last guest. Nothing at all like the pictures. Didn't stay, left within 10 min and didn't get money refunded.'

'Great location and the staff were lovely.'
