'Good location for doing everything in mount airy. Front desk staff was great. Bed was clean and comfortable. Room was dated, needed some repairs and maintenance in the bathroom. Like the tissue paper metal cover was rusted and had wallpaper coming off next to the sink.'

'Room smelled like smoke, pillows same smoke smell. Doors didn’t close securely. Trash and debris left in the stairwells. Damaged HVAC units. Breakfast was extremely limited, no juice, warm milk, and the waffle batter was watered down. Pictures showed a pool, but it was out of service. Definitely not worth $120, maybe worth $60 per night.'

'Trash was not emptied on a daily basis. Towels were not replaced. Had to take soiled.towels to counter in order to receive fresh towels.management was no very helpful and tried to give me a hard time over my request. Tub with shower did not work properly. You had to work on the valve in order for the shower to work (which wasn’t very well). The room was itself was adequate and it was quiet at night. Breakfast wasn’t very sufficient to call it breakfast. I would not stay there again unless these...

'Our hosts were so kind and hospitable! We loved the quaint, cozy and clean cottage. The location was perfect with easy access to hiking and other local attractions. We definitely plan to go back to do more hiking and exploring!'

'We ejoyed the retro feeling of this place, the old stove, old refrigerator which was still cold! Decor was very well thought out. Kudos!. My wife has trouble with steps, but took her time and did well. The bed was extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend for a long weekend.'

'I have stayed in a lot of different homes and can't always give a 5 star rating but this homes deserves more than 5 stars. The house is beautiful, very clean, comfortable, and Betty would check to see if we needed anything. We sat out on the carport watching the rain and storm and it was BEAUTIFUL. I would absolutely recommend this home to my family and friends. I will be going back down to Mount Airy and will plan my trip to stay here again.'

'Quality mattress, bedding, & pillows (with bedding options in the closet.) Decor that inspires relaxation & calm. Along a quaint historical street with multiple stores & small cafes and taverns. Enjoyed our stay & will visit again on future long distance trips for a peaceful “rest stop.” Couches in living room are only loveseat sized, not very cushy & less than ideal for larger or taller persons, but not uncomfortable enough to warrant a complaint or deduct from our stay.'
