If you're close to Uvita, check the tide schedule and get down to the beach! Humpback whales raise their young in Marino Bellena as the waters are shallow and warm and they feel safe. Coincidentally, at low tide, the beach forms a "whale's tail" shape, and it's stunning to see.

There is a National Park entrance fee, that I believe was in the $3-6 range for the day.

'The owners ar Cabinas Pura Vida are extremely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate us. They let us park our car while visiting Corcovado National Park overnight and helped us get a free taxi to catch our boot. The rooms are simple, but not expensive. They have a nice common area and a fridge for guests to use. The breakfast was good and it was not problem to serve it an hour earlier than their usual time because we had to catch our boot. '

'We had a one bedroom Cabina: it was new, clean, and airconditioned with unlimited hot water. The kitchen was adequate and everything worked. The grounds are gorgeous and private/walled in and secure. Owner is Dutch and has European attention to detail I will stay there again when I return. Free Washers and Dryers were clean and worked well. Convenient location to all of Uvita's attractions. I strongly recommend this property as a place to stay. Pura Vida! '

'It was such a great experience! Thank you so much. For the value, customer service and location this is such a gem of a find for a place to stay that is minutes away from the Whale Tail beach. We stayed in a room that had two beds, a kitchen with fridge, microwave, pots and pans, plates and cups. Literally everything you would want it was available and made it very convenient. The pool is beautiful and was nice to sit there after a long day or before starting the day. I highly recommend this...

'Super nice place in a gated community. The pictures didn't do it justice. We had a group of four so it was perfect. Lower level had a laundry room and 2 equal sized bedrooms with bathrooms inside. Each room also had a private patio with amazing views. Upstairs had a 3rd bathroom, full kitchen, dining room, living room. The outdoor covered patio wrapped around the side of the house and has even better views. We sat out there for hours at a time. '

'We enoyed our stay so much. We didn't miss a day enjoying the pool and being in the backyard. Early each morning we enjoyed the toucans that would visit as well as many other species of birdlife.
