« Room was dirty! Cobwebs in corners, fridge was unclean and the microwave was unclean/unsanitary. I have video proof that the housekeeping does not do their job, coming from a hospital housekeeper. Rust in the bathtub that can be clean. Dust on top of certain objects like microwave, lamps, and tv. Microwave had old food inside of it , it was not used by us previously. Fridge had hair in it and was dirty previously before we arrived. »

« For the low price, the hotel met our needs well and was a good value. The rooms are a little dated and could use a refresh. I like its proximity to grocery stores, restaurants and the highway. It was the best value for Portland, MI, which is a beautiful city. »

« Great location with easy free parking & a lovely riverfront deck! Self check-in went smoothly. We may have been the only living souls on the property, we saw no one. Clean room, but Keurig wasn’t clean enough for me to risk a cup of coffee… Bathroom was nice & big, but shower head needs to be replaced to deliver water to head and eliminate leakage from attachment point. « We were looking for a quiet woodland retreat and found this place to be exactly that. The 3-season porch was wonderful. The furniture was comfortable. A wide variety of woodland birds and chipmunks came to the feeders close to the windows. The chipmunks were especially entertaining. A big thank you to the host for coming to refill the feeders. « This literally is “Grandma’s House”. It’s a little cottage on a beautiful lake that appears to be in the middle of some minor remodeling being done by the owner. Its asset is the desk and the lake which would be awesome in the summer. But we just needed something for a short visit that was close to my sister’s house in Lake Odessa to attend our brother’s celebration of life. So Grandma’s House was perfect for that. « We did not stay. Questionable neighborhood. Water and hanging wires in the basement. Upstairs shower not usable. Muddy driveway. Seller refused reimbursement even though we did not stay. Just a creepy property. Refused to return cleaning fee even though we did not stay. If I would have been given the address before reserving we would not have booked it. »

« Great property. We were there just for a weekend bike race in Hastings, but believe it would also be a fantastic summer getaway at the lake. House was clean and well furnished. Owners provided lots of little touches, showing their passion for their property and their guests. Would recommend. »
