« The property is beautiful and very well maintained. The horses are an added bonus of peacefulness making this location unique. Hotels can be beautiful and noisy, this place was like a little slice of heaven. Stay there you won’t be disappointed. John was very good at keeping in touch and seeing if we needed anything. I will definitely stay there again if I am going that way. »

« This creekside cottage was pretty much as advertised. It was easy to find, clean and comfortable, and quiet. We had a nice mid-week getaway here and enjoyed local attractions like paddling our kayaks at Carvin's Cove, hiking up to Dragons Tooth, and enjoying an end of hike wine at Beliveau Winery. « If you are looking to get away from the hustle an bustle of daily life head to Eagle's Rest. It's a charming cabin tucked into the mountains and woods between Roanoke/ Salem and New Castle. « We had a wonderful weekend stay for our daughter's wedding. The house has been completely renovated with the top-of-the-line furniture and appliances. Every room is exquisitely furnished. We LOVED the fire pit and smores which our hosts graciously supplied. The countryside was quiet and the night-time stars were spectacular.
