'I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the management of this hotel for accommodating my late check-in after missing my arrival date due to a coach breakdown. The hotel boasts a modern and immaculate appearance, with my room being particularly impressive. The cuisine is exquisite, and the staff have been exceptionally friendly and accommodating. For anyone visiting Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi, a stay at this hotel is an absolute must. '

'I stayed for two nights in a one bedroom "Delux Chalet" which had a nice patio so you could sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. The room was very nice with a draw-around mosquito net on the bed which I didn't use. The bathroom had been completely renovated with floor to ceiling ceramic tiles with a full-sized bathtub at one end and a large shower at the other end. The room is extremely quiet at night and only the sounds of ducks quacking in the morning...no roosters! The complimentary breakfast...

'Just a one nighter on our journey south. We enjoyed lakeside rooms and a spectacular sunrise. No mosquito nets...? Friendly staff doing their best in difficult conditions.'

'Wat een prachtige plek was dit! Toen ik het terrein opkwam kwam er direct gevoel van rust over mij. Omgeving is prachtig, restaurant is heerlijk en er hangt een fijne sfeer. Maar de service is echt datgene waar ze voor mij in uitblinken. Ze doen er alles aan om je verblijf zonder zorgen te laten verlopen en zijn ontzettend vriendelijk. Ik voelde mij echt in de watten gelegd worden.'

'Ok but tired. Called a beach resort but rooms are a long way from the lake and you can’t see it. Beach not maintained as other local properties do and no amenities eg seats/loungers. '

'The Green Elephant is stunning. Conveniently located (if you have transport) for getting around Lilongwe but not directly in the middle. The staff are relaxed, friendly and professional and helped every day. They made me special vegetarian options on request, and let me help myself to other foods. The furnishings are top notch. There is lots of shared space around the place, and the only distractions are the noisy birds in the morning! Amazing hotel. If I could want for one thing, it would be...

'This hotel is very comfortable. The staffs are very kind. You can ask questions you have on your trip. Especially, Mr. Aditya, front office manager, told me how to go to other cities. In addition, I was very peased with meals in this hotel's restaurant. You can eat not only local foods but also Indian and Chinese ones. I can reccomend this hotel with confidence.'
