« As two women staying here by ourselves, this place made us uncomfortable. Wires were cut leading up to the hut (they said it’s been like that for 6 years but how would we know that?) and the lock was broken/tampered with so that it wouldn’t lock at all. Didn’t feel as it was worth it to call someone out as we were in the middle of nowhere and still felt unsafe on the property so we left to find a hotel. »

« This is a magical place to stay in a beautiful country setting in Vermont. My room was charming, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The food at the Blackbird Bistro is delicious, and the coffee and smoothies at the Whetstone Cafe are delightful. I would absolutely stay here again. »

When we arrived, NOTHING was provided to us, salt, pepper, a little oil, a few sachets of sugar and of course, coffee the next day, for the first lunch! 2. « Gwen and Larry were excellent hosts from start to finish! The property was everything as described, plus more. The communication with the hosts were direct and speedy with responses, an attribute that made our weekend even more enjoyable! From the cute landscape surrounding the cabin, to every aspect inside that was available for us. « We loved this property! Hosts were friendly, rental was clean and ready on time. Fresh eggs, ben jerrys ice cream, and seeing farm animals are bonuses to this property. Our children are two and seven- they enjoyed the animals, playing in the field, and relaxing on the back deck. The highlight was eating a meal on the back deck and the horse would come to graze in the field directly behind the deck. Such a great place to rewind and build memories! »

« We managed to be lucky enough to book this cabin just as all of the leaves turned so it was like being in a painting. The land is beautiful to walk and the views are amazing. The cabin itself is very cozy and has great character. The kitchen was very convenient and I loved cooking on that stove, and the bathroom was clean and well kept as well. It was great to unplug, read, and relax for a while. Hopefully we will be able to go back again. »

« Although the weather did not really cooperate (rained for the first 2 days), we still found the home cozy, peaceful and and the area serene. A beautiful location right on the lake. We go once a year with our four wheelers to northern Vermont and this was a great riding area. Lots of trails with stops along the way (Parker Pies, Bakersfield, Morgan Store). Jim and his wife were there when we arrived. Very nice people. Would recommend to hikers, ATV'ers, and just folks who want to get away. PS....
