'The staff were so friendly and helpful, we loved the traditional breakfast, they were accommodating to my husband who can’t eat fish. They have a courtesy bus that takes you to Arashiyama which I didn’t know and so glad they suggested. The futons are hard but I got used to them. They also said their onsen is tattoo friendly. But most of the place is in such a spectacular forest it was so pretty in the late autumn I will definitely be going back. '

'We finished our honeymoon at this hotel, and it was truly an amazing experience. The staff was incredible and made our stay feel so special. We had a couples massage that felt like it shaved ten years off both therapists were fantastic. The thermal pool was beautiful and impeccably clean, making it the perfect place to relax. I would also highly recommend the chef’s table; it was a memorable dining experience.'

'We loved this experience. We opted for the dinner and breakfast option - eating overlooking a beautiful zen garden which we explored. Family loved the hospitality of the staff and the unique experience. From checking your shoes at the door to eating and sleeping on the floor - it felt truly authentic and something they had mastered over the years. The area around it is also very beautiful- doing the philosopher’s walk and seeing the temples and then coming back to this place was magical.'
