B&B in Amalfi Coast

'De host was supervriendelijk en betrokken. Ze ontving ons hartelijk, legde alles goed uit en maakte een heerlijk ontbijt elke ochtend en was makkelijk te bereiken. De accomodatie zelf was perfect voor 2 personen en vanaf het dakterras was er een adembenemend uitzicht. Het vervoer tussen Positano en Praiano was wel wat lastig, de bustijden bleken niet goed te kloppen en de haltes zijn niet bekend op Google Maps. Ook waren er best wat pittige klimmetjes in de omgeving, maar dat hoort erbij....

'We spent an amazing fortnight at Orto Paradiso. The property is in a stunning location on the hillside above Minori, a lovely little town on the Amalfi coast, which has everything you need without the crowds of the big names nearby. The people running the hotel are friendly and helpful, and the place feels very quiet and chilled, with beautiful views. The breakfasts are delicious, and the pool is the perfect size for a refreshing dip. We stayed in the superior quadruple which had enough space...

'Based on the reviews of other visitors did we choose this charming Bed & Breakfast. What a dissapointment when we saw our expensive room with the cheapest furnuture, a camping bed, the crappy renovated bathroom with sticky shower curtain...Since we booked, we could not get away and had to bear the clearly sounding bathroom and bed noises of the neighbours all night through the filter thin walls. The owner obviously thought he could transform his former garage into 5 'bed and breakfast' rooms...

'It’s about a 10 minute walk down a million stairs to the shops and beach. Easy if you are in good shape. Lots of shopping and food choices close by that you don’t need take all the stairs for. Everything is on the high side of costs, but to be expected in Positano. '

'We travelled throughout Italy, and stayed at multiple places. La Barbera was by far the best place we have stayed and personally the best place I had ever stayed. First off, the staff was attentive and were willing to do anything to help you with whatever you needed. Whether is was information, transportation, recommendations, they were helpful. The breakfast in the morning with a beautiful view daily was amazing. The rooms are beautiful, top-notch cleanliness, and a beautiful outside...

'Very friendly host! Near to the path of the Gods. There is so much to see: the beautiful coast, Positano, Sarronto, Pompei, Napels, Vesuvius, the eiland Capri. Very flexibele, good breakfast. We felt very welcome! There is a good restaurant within walking distance Da Nando.'
