'Fijne uitvalsbasis aan de rand van het dorp. Grote supermarkten en fastfoodketens als buren. Je bent zo op het strand of binnen 25 minuten op de boot Harwich - Hoek van Holland. Vriendelijk behulpzaam personeel. Ruime kamers, prima bad en docuhe.'

'Long wait at check in. Airco downstairs, but room hot and no airco. Check out time 11.00. But at 10.30 they said we had 10 minutes. Airco unit of downstairs next to room window…. Unbelievable. A lot of noise. Awfull service of front desk. Mostly not occupied and you have to call an outside number with your cell. Best hotel of Colchester. What a Joke. '

'Wow what a lovely hotel, staff so very welcoming and very helpful. Room was immaculately clean. We booked one night as we had tickets to see Fishermans Friends at the Regent Theatre. Was perfect walking distance. Great view of the waterfront from our window even though we were in a room on the side. Breakfast was really well cooked. Would highly recommend. We loved our stay here'

'Erg indrukwekkende omgeving. Werden bij aankomst netjes ontvangen. De kamers zijn fraai ingericht op zijn Engels in de stijl van het pand. Je kan het oubollig vinden, maar het heeft ook zeker iets aparts met die krakende deuren een hemelbed en bloemetjesgordijnen. Helaas heeft dat oubollige ook een keerzijde, want de badkamer had in onze ogen zijn beste tijd gehad. Twijfelachtige kitranden, vergeeld kunststof en een tikkeltje stoffig. Het hemelbed viel echt het minst in de smaak met zijn 140...

'Nice hotel with fine spa. Very nice garden and superfriendly hostesses. One thing that we missed is an airconditioner. There is a fan but it is very warm in the room'

'Very friendly staff, they had fruit, snacks, tea, coffee and toilet roll that you could help yourself to if you wanted/needed. '

'Quite a nice quiet place but not worth anything like what they charge. There were stains on the bed covers which they came and changed straight away. Breakfast wasn't worth bothering with, hardly anything there on the continental option, we waited a while for drinks that didnt come so we gave up and left.'
