'The Beachfront bungalow was very clean and pretty. Exactly as pictured. The space felt cozy and well cared for, and the staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the beach area- it was crowded and not as clean as I expected. Overall, the stay was pleasant, but I wish the beach experience had matched the quality of the bungalow itself. '

'I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly welcoming, the food was tasty, and the beautiful beach behind the property was a wonderful bonus—it felt almost private. Waking up to the sounds of howler monkeys in the morning was a memorable experience. Just keep in mind that having a car is beneficial. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and peaceful getaway!'

'We enjoyed our very short stay at La Bonita Lodge. Unfortunately the airline lost our luggage so we spent most of our day in San Jose buying clothes before heading down to Puerto Viejo. We arrived late but had a nice dinner at Banana Azul and then were able to use the easy to follow directions to gain access to the property and our room. The room was spotless and welcoming. We weren't able to park our car in the lot as it was full but after contacting the host we were told it was fine to park on...

'This lodge is every bit is beautiful as the pictures show. They had a young sloth on property that we saw the first day. We saw all sorts of birds and agoutis too. Staff were very helpful. Filtered water and coffee on endless supply in the dining area. The Wi-Fi on the property is good, but it does not extend to the cabins.
