« Location and ocean view was FANTASTIC. While it's not a 5-star/ $1000 per night hotel, it has everything you would need/ expect from an excellent beach house. We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. Great jumping off point to see sites on this side of the island (Hilo, Volcano, towns that existed a few years ago but then were taken by lava). Don't miss Uncle Robert's on Wednesday night with other locals. It was a great time. Also, the Lava Flow museum in Pahoa...

« We had trouble getting into the code. We did not expect alarm system. The place was beautiful however we thought the house had air conditioning. The place felt damp and at times difficult to get comfortable. Location was perfect. . The hot tub was dirty but we cleaned and were able to use. Overall would recommend staying here. »

« From the first day we booked to the day that we left, we received almost immediate responses to every question we asked. As usual, there were a couple of arrival difficulties, but the host quickly took care of those. The house is beautiful. We were able to walk to the point and watch the waves and even some whales. They also made great suggestions about restaurants and supermarkets in the area. »

« We decided to rent a beach house to house a few family members who flew over from Catalina Island to come to my Dad's Celebration of Life! Both my Aunt and Uncle from Catalina Island are 87 and 90 Years old. The house was very comfortable and easily accessible with a cane. Although we did experience some rainfall having the rocks embedded in the entrance floor and stairs made it easy for them to go up and down the stairs. My mother and I took advantage of the Kayaks and stand up paddle board one...

« The location is simply fabulous. You walk out the back patio on grass and then black volcanic rock to the edge of the ocean surf. From the house, we delighted in exploring the network of roads and trails in the Pahoa district south of Hilo. Not to be missed is Uncle Robert's community music and food festival every Wednesday evening. In Hilo, the Pacific Tsunami Museum and the Lyman Museum are outstanding as well as the Hawaiian Tropical and Botanical Gardens, Akaka Falls and the Waipio Valley...

« We stayed in unit 2 but I would still love to give my review/opinion about it. This was a truly amazing place to stay in. It was my first time in unit rental and it truly felt like a home away from home!! Everything was just as they say it was in the listing and the property owner/manager was super kind and patient.
