Mouriki : Vacances golf

Très bel hôtel, très bon petit déjeuner

I was surprised this was a 5 star hotel. The exterior of the building is very old and worn down and does not look like a 5 star hotel at all. The room was tiny and small. I felt the room was slightly dated. Staff at reception on afternoon and evening duty were very serious, I did not few welcomed. Staff in the morning were much more nicer and friendlier. I had a very strange incident here that I have never encountered in my 18 years travelling the world. Was stopped by reception one evening saying the guests next door to me complained about noise and they questioned what I was doing in my room the night I arrived. I travel alone I don't even turn the TV on and all I did was move a lot of luggage around as I was unpacking and shifting things. I had music on but it was no louder than music I play in any other hotel and each time I travel I stay in at least 12 hotels. I travel two times a year for 4 to 6 weeks each time. I have never had any person next door complain about noise. I am quiet and it was bizarre. I was also active around 10.30pm to 11pm so it was not unreasonable. If people next door can hear me moving things in my room and walking around with light music on then I definitely would avoid staying at this hotel. Although the girl that discussed the situation with me was nice about it, it was surprising and put a very bad taste in my mouth. Hotels should realise some guests are difficult and think they have prerogatives above everyone else
