Saint David's Island: Golfvakanties

Great location but the property is showing its age. Our bathroom door was broken and room door didn't close properly. Staff's helpfulness was mixed, front desk staff was helpful when they wanted to be, restaurant staff was generally excellent, beach staff was helpful but not super attentive for drink or food orders. We had multiple times where we were told taxis were ordered for our group but they came late or never came at all. After all this though it's still a premier property on the island.

Rosemont Hotel is lovely. Staff are wonderful and good is great. A very relaxing smaller hotel in Bermuda.

We loved our stay! Our room was amazing, the staff was so nice and accommodating. Food was pricey but the experience was lovely. We didn't want to leave.

I am leaving this review in hopes that it gets the attention of management and they will recognize how poorly the situation was handled. Rosewood BDA is our favorite hotel worldwide. We come to Bermuda for one reason: Beach Time. Imagine our disappointment when during our quick weekend getaway we arrive at the beach club and are told by the attendant that the beach will be closing at 3:00 for a private event. We were not told when we checked in the previous day. We were not told while waiting for the shuttle. We were not told on the shuttle. Did they think just casually mentioning it upon arrival that we would find it more agreeable? I don’t understand why they can be so nonchalant about taking a half day away from their top amenity. Of course this is a one-off occurrence and the hotel maintains its ranking of favorite for us. The property has undergone renovations since our last visit and everything was well maintained. The staff were great and showed (improved) professionalism while clearly enjoying their jobs. The property is stunning in both design and setting. It breaks my heart to leave a 2 star rating, but management needs to know they messed up. Had we been given a heads up we could’ve better planned our day without feeling frustrated.
