Southern Islands: Kindvriendelijke vakanties

Stayed 5nghts as part of a longer trip during which we visited many 5*resorts. @rates charged here we expected a level of personalization and service flexibility that wasn’t there.We informed the resort 2x in advance that we were on our honeymoon,but this went completely unacknowledged on arrival,other resorts had small touches (champagne, personalized note, handmade flower crowns). We asked whether a private service provider could visit for a few hours during our stay – an arrangement that would not have affected any other guest and is allowed at other highend Pacific resorts:Outright refusal,with the reasoning shifting depending on who we spoke to,ultimately coming down to “policy” and no exception by owner.GM‘s outright refusal resulted in me losing almost 700 US$.After hiding 5days behind his computer he actually came to say goodbye as if nothing hadhappened,no apology.Absolutely disgusting. Our transfer to the island happened to coincide with the owners/GM’s own return trip,we shared the boat with them,briefly greeted as we boarded.On arrival at the island,however,they simply walked off - not a word. The private plunge pool ridiculously small,a lot of the villas get no direct sunlight on the terrace.Basic amenities were missing or below expectations. light sleepers:small island with nothing to break wind,villas get very loud when windy,which is fairly common.Need earplugs to sleep. Massages fine,check duration!Booked 60min,got <50,had to flag ourselves.NOT WORTH THE $!
