Sequoias East

The main floor consists of a kitchen, dining/living area, a bedroom and bath as well as deck access, with great forest mountain views! The kitchen is modern with granite counter tops, knotty alder cabinets. The living room has a leather sectional, propane fireplace and a 47 inch flat screen HDTV/DVD, Starlink internet with WIFi. The dining area has a table and six chairs (expandable with a leaf and fold out chairs) and two counter bar stools, The main floor bedroom has a Cal King bed. The deck is 200 square feet.
A gas grill and out door dining table are provided in the spring, summer and fall. The lower floor has two more bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a twin/full bunk bed, a second bathroom and a second living/TV room with a 32 inch flat screen TV with standard definition (great for the kids!). This second living TV room has a very comfortable futon. There is 3 parking spots all year long.




Do you have internet access at any of your home properties? Yes but very limited! Only a few of our home properties have recently been able to receive Internet access. Due to our remote location, and the fact that most of our properties are surrounded by tall Yosemite pine and cedar trees, it makes it almost impossible to receive clear satellite signals, cable is not available yet in our community. The system we currently have is a satellite based Internet system, and is vulnerable to adverse weather conditions, therefore we cannot guarantee Internet connectivity during your stay.

Old and in need of some TLC

Very old furnishing / fixtures. Worn furniture, uncomfortable beds with very old linen. Kitchen utensils badly need to be replace. Blunt knives, no kettle to boil water for tea, limited / old cook ware. Zero cleaning supplies, no shampoo, conditioner or body soap. In the middle of a pandemic you would at least expect surface spray and hand sanitizers. One roll of kitchen towels to last a party of 6 for 3 days. No AC, lots of fans but doesn’t help much. I would not stay here again, I expected a lot more for the $ paid. Impossible to contact the letting agent and zero communication from them prior to arrival. Had to circle the Yosemite valley for 40 minutes to get reception to send a message asking for check in instructions. They came through 15 mins after 5pm, which is totally unacceptable for a check in time of 4pm. I’d expect to receive the check in information the day before traveling.

No internet, no AC, temp in the 80's all day long in July, not fun

For the fees charged for this property, I highly recommend installing an AC unit. You can afford it ;>) Internet did not work at all Entry code was setup wrong and could not enter the unit. No cell coverage = no way to contact management Kitchen sink was leaking

The property was clean, well-maintained and adequately furnished. The view was lovely.

Our family was very comfortable. We could have used more teaspoons and drinking glasses to be able to prepare and eat meals. Bluetooth speakers or stereo would have been an extra touch. Management quickly brought a pack and play when requested. All communications with management before our arrival were quickly answered. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Yosemite.

Beautiful setting, close to Yosemite vallley, and clean! Would stay here again, for sure.

This home was perfect for our family of five. It was as close to Yosemite valley as you can stay ... without staying right in the valley itself. The place is roomy and clean. We enjoyed eating most meals outside on the deck. We were there in early July when it was hot outside. Because it did not cool down much at night, we found it difficult to cool down the temperature inside the house. We wished it had air conditioning. This is probably only an issue for a few weeks each year.

The property was clean and accessible. However, a few complaints is that the garage is inaccessible, uneven heating between the two floors, and fewer than sufficient towels were provided.

Really enjoyed the property. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for the 8 of us (noting there were only 2 bathrooms). The location was great. We would recommend adding a washer and dryer.

Nice clean place with a great location

We may be considered by some as clean freaks and we were happy with Sequoia East. We took full advantage of the kitchen by cooking breakfast, packing a lunch and cooking dinner at the house. Saved a lot of $$ by doing it this way. We have a family of four and both of our boys had there own space in the basement. The location was great and we had great weather. We'll try to rent this place the next time we go to Yosemite.

Fantastic house in a great location!

My family and I came to Yosemite for a 3 night trip and stayed in this great house. This was a wonderful house that met all our needs! It's close to to Yosemite Valley, quiet and spacious. On arrival it was incredibly clean and had all the necessary items to ensure our stay was comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Yosemite!

Large, clean, near the valley and ski resort

The home was large, clean, and updated. The driveway was level with the top floor of the home so there was no driving up a steep driveway or taking stairs like other properties. The heater worked great and kept us warm while it snowed outside. It took about 15 minutes to reach the entrance to the valley and about the same time to reach Badger Pass ski resort. The only negative I can think of is that because the home was built on the side of the mountain there isn't any yard to hang out in but it did have a small deck. No cleaning or processing fees. Would definitely stay again.
