'The Li River resort is very well situated, on a quiet place near Jungshuo. The staff is friendly and helpful with small issues but also arranging tailored programmes in the region upon request. The bike tour arranged by the hotel was really worthwhile. The owner is hospitable, professional in a accommodating way, but never pushy. The rooms and the hotel in general are done with taste, ensuring a relaxed stay. Most rooms have a beautiful view on the Li River. '

'From the moment arriving at Yangshuo Sugar House we were instantly charmed. The architecture is stunning, the staff are incredibly warm and attentive, and every building is photogenic. You never get tired of the views, food was perhaps the best we've had in all of China, and the spa is exceptional. Loved the activities too, like rock climbing and bamboo raft on the Li River.
